Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide high-strength heat insulating laminate member and to improve the heat insulating property of the member by forming a ceramic layer on an intermediate plate material having a lot of pits to produce both heat insulating effects of the pits and the ceramic layer. CONSTITUTION:A lot of pits 30 are bored in the second layer 22. Ceramic material is previously sprayed to both sides of the second layer 22 to form ceramic coatings 22a, 22b thereon. Accordingly, air is accumulated in the pits 30 to perform heat insulating action. The ceramic layers 22a, 22b produce heat insulating effects. Thus, the quantity of heat transmitted between the first layer 21 and the third layer 23 is remarkably decreased, and as the second layer 22 is much stronger than an asbestos plate, a member 20 can have a high strength on the whole.
Abstract:
A vessel for storing fluid, the vessel including a liner having a liner body that defines: a liner cavity; a plurality of flexible connector portions that include a corrugated length that provides for flexibility of the respective connector portions, the connector portions having a first maximum diameter; a plurality of elongated tubing portions between the respective flexible connector portions, the elongated tubing portions having a second minimum diameter that is larger than the first maximum diameter of the flexible connector portions; and a plurality of taper portions coupling adjoining flexible connector portions and tubing portions configured to provide a transition between a smaller diameter of the connector portion and a larger diameter of the tubing portion.
Abstract:
A ship for transporting cargo gas, such as natural gas, includes a ship structure and a middle transverse bulkhead constructed by gas storage containers. Each gas storage container includes an enclosure and a pipe coil within the enclosure that contains the cargo gas and it is the enclosures of the gas storage containers that are integrated into the ship structure to form the middle transverse bulk head.
Abstract:
An integrated ship mounted system for loading a gas stream, separating heavier hydrocarbons, compressing the gas, cooling the gas, mixing the gas with a desiccant, blending it with a liquid carrier or solvent, and then cooling the mix to processing, storage and transportation conditions. After transporting the product to its destination, a hydrocarbon processing train and liquid displacement is provided to unload the liquid from the pipeline and storage system, separate the liquid carrier, and transfer the gas stream to a storage or transmission system.
Abstract:
A multilayered pressure vessel (10) fabricated from at least one single ply sheet of flexible material (100) having an approximate longitudinal midline which divides the material into an inner portion (130) having an inner surface, an outer surface, an edge, a seam allowance, and a width, and an outer portion having an inner surface, an outer surface, an edge, a seam allowance, and a width. The width of the outer portion (120) is greater than the width of the inner portion (140). A primary seam (250) binds the outer portion and the inner portion to the material sheet at the midline proximate the outer portion edge and inner portion edge. The sheet (100) is wrapped into a continuous substantially 720 degree wrap to form a generally cylindrical vessel body having possible multiple fluid passageways, at the election of the user. The primary seam (250) is concealed.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a storage tank, particularly for deep cooled liquids, comprising at least one spraying tube via which the liquid to be stored can be returned to the inside or the inner tank of the storage tank. According to the invention, the spraying tube (1) comprises, on its periphery, a number of openings (2, 2', ), and the openings (2, 2', ) are at least partially covered by a screen. The screen is preferably made of a wire cloth (3).
Abstract:
A litter for carrying a patient in a supine position, such as a stretcher or trauma board, includes a support panel and a pressure pack for providing a portable supply of medicinal gas, such as oxygen, that can be administered to a patient on the liter. The pressure pack includes a gas storage vessel formed from a plurality of polymeric hollow chamber having either en ellipsoidal or spherical shape and interconnected by a plurality of relatively narrow conduit sections disposed between consecutive ones of the chambers. The storage vessel includes a reinforcing filament wrapped around the interconnected chambers and interconnecting conduit sections to limit radial expansion of the chambers and conduit sections when filled with a fluid under pressure. The storage vessel further includes a fluid transfer control system attached to the storage vessel for controlling fluid flow into and out of the pressure vessel and a gas delivery mechanism for delivering gas from the storage vessel to a user in a breathable manner.
