Abstract:
An optical scanner forms an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive member by scanning the photosensitive member with a light beam. The optical scanner includes: an incident optical system which at least comprises: a light beam emission device configured to emit a light beam; and a cylindrical lens configured to condense the light beam emitted from the light beam emission device, and a scanning optical system which at least comprises: a light deflecting device configured to reflect the light beam having passed through the cylindrical lens to deflect the light beam in a main scanning direction for scanning the photosensitive member; and a scanning lens configured to focus the light beam deflected by the light deflecting device on the photosensitive member to form an electrostatic latent image thereon. The incident optical system and the scanning optical system are divided by a light shielding wall.
Abstract:
The present invention is a changeable apparatus for different total tracks and a corresponding method. The apparatus reflects a light from a light source at least twice toward predetermined directions. The apparatus comprises plural reflection elements, at least one of the plural reflection elements is a rotational reflection element, which has plural reflection surface sets, and each reflection surface set has at least one reflection surface. The rotational reflective element further comprises a pivot axis is for each rotational reflection element for circulating and changing of reflection surface sets and a fixing apparatus, which connects to a rotational reflection element for adjusting and fixing positions of the rotational reflection element.
Abstract:
A line-imaging lens condenses a light beam from a light-source unit in one direction to form a line image. An optical deflecting unit deflects the light beam passing through the line-imaging lens. An imaging optical unit images the light beam deflected by the optical deflecting unit in a spot shape on a scanning surface to be scanned. An adjusting unit adjusts a position of irradiation of the light beam from the light-source unit on the optical deflecting unit.
Abstract:
An improved structure of carriage module has a datum board with a very flat surface, a linear light-source, a pair of side boards and a light-transforming module. The datum board has a flat-rigid connecting surface formed with a plurality of screw holes therein. The linear light-source is fixed at a front edge of the datum board for providing light. The side boards are respectively disposed on two sides of the connecting surface and assembled with a plurality of reflecting mirrors therebetween for reflecting light. The light-transforming module is assembled on a middle portion of the connecting surface for receiving an image and transforming the image into an electric signal. The datum board has an axle sleeve mounted on one side thereof for the carriage module to slide thereon.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus in which an original is illuminated with visible light and with infrared light, and in which a lens assembly forms an image of the original on the surface of a reading device such as a CCD. The lens assembly is housed in a lens barrel. A focus correcting device such as a flat glass or resin plate is movably mounted to the lens barrel, so as to correct defocus of the original on the surface of the reading device due to differences in wavelength between the visible light and the infrared light. The lens assembly includes a resin lens which is disposed on a side of the lens assembly nearest to the reading device, and which is mounted in close proximity to the focus correcting device.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an image reading apparatus and includes: scanning unit including a light source; a focusing mirror which reflects light from the light source on a reflecting surface portion; and a mirror holder which fixes the focusing mirror on fixing portions formed at both ends of the mirror holder, wherein, when the scanning unit is moved to read image information, the focusing mirror is formed such that the fixing portion is smaller than the reflecting surface portion in at least one of strength and rigidity.
Abstract:
A scanning module of an image scanner for scanning a document is provided. The scanning module of the image scanner includes a base, a reflective mirror stand, a shaft, a reflective mirror member and a gear set. The reflective mirror stand is mounted on the base. The shaft is rotatably mounted on the reflective mirror stand. The reflective mirror member is fixed on the shaft and rotated with the shaft. The gear set is pivotally coupled to the shaft for rotating and driving the shaft to adjust the reflective angle of the reflective mirror member, which is fixed on the shaft.

Abstract:
An optical reading device of a scanning apparatus includes two light sources and a movable lens. The first light source emits a first light when the optical reading device is operated in a flatbed scanning mode. The second light source emits a second light when the optical reading device is operated in a sheetfed scanning mode. The movable mirror is selected to allow for passing the first light without being obstructed by the movable mirror in the flatbed scanning mode or allow for reflecting the second light coming from the second mirror in the sheetfed scanning mode. Due to the special design, the overall volume of the scanning module is reduced.
