    Abstract: A two stage pressure control valve (10) has a poppet (66) movable toward and away from a valve seat (70) to vary the cross-sectional area of a passageway from an inlet (72) to an outlet (52). The position of the poppet (66) is dependent in part on the difference in pressure between a fluid pressure at the inlet (72) which exerts a force on the poppet (66) in one axial direction and a control pressure which is produced by a fluid flow from the inlet (72) in a chamber (94) downstream from the inlet (72) and which exerts a force on the poppet (66) in the opposite axial direction. The control pressure is controlled by an electromagnetic coil (22) which can be variably energized to move an armature (30) so as to vary a variable, restriction downstream from the control pressure so as to vary the control pressure. A tube (80) extends through and forms an axial sliding seal with the poppet (66) and communicates a flow of fluid from the inlet (72) to the variable restriction and the chamber (94) is positioned adjacent to an exterior surface of the tube (80). An orifice (90) through a wall of the tube (80) communicates a lumen (92) of the tube (80) with the chamber (94).

    Abstract: A radial piston pump of the type, in which an excentric rotor (7) is adapted to cause the pistons (4) to perform a reciprocating movement within radial cylinders (3) in the pump body (1), the radial inner ends of the pistons (4) being each provided with a broadened foot (6), said broadened feet (6) being kept in contact with the rotor (7) also during the suction strokes of the respective pistons (4) by means of a coupling ring (26) of a substantially L-shaped cross-section, the axial ring portion (26a) of which engages the radial outer end faces of the broadened feet and the radial portion (26b) of which keeps said ring (26) axially in place. According to the invention the coupling ring (26) has its radial portion (26b) bearing loosely against a radial sliding surface, while the broadened feet (6) at the radial inner piston ends are in the shape of heads which are integrally formed with the respective pistons (4), the free end faces of said heads, as well as the end faces adjoining the respective pistons (4) beig spherically shaped, the axial portion of the coupling (26) having an inner circumferential surface of a slightly conically widening shape.

    Abstract: A tilt cab latch has a piston which is biased to cam on a rotor to capture and exert a preload force on a pin. The end of the piston is formed by cylindrical and conical surfaces which match respective internal cylindrical and angled cylindrical surfaces on the rotor. The conical and angled cylindrical surfaces cam on one another to exert the preload force on the pin, and the cylindrical surfaces provide positive locking against retrograde rotation of the rotor.

    Abstract: A vibration dampening suspension device (10) for isolating a truck cab (1) from the force vibrations of a vehicle frame (2), which includes an impact plate (12) mounted to the truck cab (1), and a support plate (11) mounted to the vehicle suspension (4, 5). The device (10) further includes a link member (64) pivotally interconnected at one end (68) with the support plate (11) at a support pivot (82), and a lever member (66) with a first end (72) pivotally interconnected with the impact plate (12) at a main pivot (88). The link member (64) is pivotally interconnected with the lever member (66) for rotation of the lever member (66) with respect to the main pivot (88) during compression of the shock absorber (90) when the supporting body (2), suspended body (1) and device (10) are in a dynamic condition. A hydraulic shock absorber (90) is provided with a first end (92) pivotally interconnected with the lever member second end (74) at a shock pivot (89) and a second end (94) pivotally interconnected with the impact plate (12) at a pivot spaced from the main pivot (88). An air spring (50) interconnected between the impact (12) and support (11) plates, and a torque arm (44) pivotally interconnected between the impact plate (12) and support plate (11), are also included.

    Abstract: A hydraulic pressure control valve includes a spool which has a first end having a first cross-sectional area. The opposite end of the spool has a reduced cross-sectional area. Modulated pressure is provided to a chamber at the first end of the spool and when it increases beyond the force of a biasing spring, an inlet port is connected to an outlet port. Feedback pressure acts on the differential area between a full cross-sectional area of the spool and a reduced area portion of the spool located within the outlet port. The feedback force on the spool is in proportion to the changing control force. A sleeve is provided at the end of the valve adjacent the reduced area portion of the spool, such portion and sleeve cooperating to provide a sliding seal. The outlet port will be coupled to tank whenever the modulated pressure falls below the combination of the spring force and the feedback pressure.
