Abstract: A two-shot or multi-shot multi-material injection molding process is provided. The process allows dissimilar materials to be injection molded to form a single, injection molded part by creating a structural interlock between the materials to prevent the materials from separating. The structural interlock is formed by forming at least one interlock cavity adjacent to a interfacial surface of a first portion of a molded part molded from a first material, and injecting a second, different material into the mold so that the second material flows into the interlock cavity and fills it. Solidification of the second material in the interlock cavity formed by the first material creates the structural interlock between the two materials.

Abstract: A bulk dispenser (10) for dispensing pre-cut pieces of film is disclosed. In one embodiment, the dispenser includes a container body (12), a dispenser housing assembly (52) housed within the container body, arid a lid (14) which forms a moisture- tight seal with the container body. The dispenser housing assembly includes a product reservoir, a dispenser housing in engagement with the product reservoir, and a flexible indexing arm that is movable relative to the dispenser housing to dispense the pre-cut pieces of film. The pre-cut pieces of film can be encapsulated within a perforated continuous carrier (30) and contained within the product reservoir. The flexible indexing arm has features that cooperate with the continuous carrier to index the continuous carrier and dispense an individual pre-cut film piece. In an alternative embodiment, the dispenser employs a suction cup (150) in the container lid which is forced onto a film piece in a stack of film pieces to be dispensed. The vacuum that is generated by the suction cup causes the film piece to be securely attached to the suction cup so that, when the container lid is opened, a single film piece is lifted from the stack of film pieces.

Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing product that includes a dispenser body having first and second interior sections, a lid, and a release mechanism. Product in the first interior section passes through an opening in the second interior portion and into an inner channel for dispensing. The inner channel includes a prong that prevent product from reverting back to the first interior section. The lid includes a lip that, when the dispenser is closed, creates a seal about the inner channel. When the dispenser is to be opened, the user may activate the release mechanism, which includes an upper portion and an activation portion. The user inwardly presses the release activation portion, which deflects or bends a portion of the inner channel away from the lip. The user may also downwardly press on the release mechanism to release the upper portion from engagement with the lip and the sidewall.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of dispensing at least one solid dosage form comprising the steps of: opening a resealable container and lid assembly, wherein the container comprises a reservoir for storing solid dosage forms and an opening for dispensing individual solid dosage form; the opening further comprises an elastomeric seal that is at least partially located circumferentially around the opening; the lid comprises a plug that is integrally attached to an inner portion of the lid and the lid consists of a hinge attached to the container that functions to rotate the lid at one pivot point; dispensing at least one solid dosage form from the reservoir of the container and through the opening; applying a sufficient pressure upon an outer portion of the lid so that the plug engages the elastomeric seal of the opening; and maintaining the sufficient pressure by a latch mechanism located on both the container and the lid to form a moisture-tight seal between the plug and the elastomeric seal of the opening.
