Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for measuring a biomaterial, comprising: a first substrate, one side of which has a recess; a second substrate having a reference electrode and an operating electrode in which a biochemical reaction to a biomaterial occurs, and first and second delivery electrodes for delivering electric signals generated by the biochemical reaction to a detection device; and an analysis reagent fixed at the second substrate to bring about a biochemical reaction with the biomaterial, wherein the first substrate or the second substrate has a surface that is tilted toward a sample inlet in a height direction. The second substrate is attached to the first substrate such that a portion of the recess forms the sample inlet, and the reference electrode and the operating electrode are directed toward the recess. The tilted surface formed in the height direction toward the sample inlet prevents the sample inlet from being blocked by a finger of the user when the sample is introduced through the sample inlet in the event the substrate in use has a three-dimensional structure with a substantial thickness.

Abstract:
Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for controlling combustion in a boiler. A proportional electronic valve current detection unit for detecting an amount of current flowing through a proportional electronic valve and transmitting the detected amount of current to a control section is installed. When a user sets a temperature in a heating mode or a hot water mode, so that a combustion command signal is outputted from a control section, the control section compares an amount of current actually flowing through the proportional electronic valve that is detected by the proportional electronic valve current detection unit and a current command value from the control section and corrects a current value of the proportional electronic valve by increasing or decreasing the current value of the proportional electronic valve based on the difference between the actual amount of current and the current command value.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of preparing a highly transparent polypropylene αmprising a step of prepolymerizing an α-olefin and a vinyl cyclic saturated hydrocarbon in the presence of a Zegler-Natta catalyst and an external electron donor, wherein a step of adding and pre¬ polymerizing the α-olefin is followed by a step of adding and prepolymerizing the vinyl cyclic saturated hydrocarbon. The method provides polypropylene having superior tacticity and transparency with not decreasing the activity of the polymerization catalyst at the polymerization of propylene.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a biosensor for selectively performing quantitative analysis on a specific substance contained in a biological sample and a readout meter using the same. The inventive biosensor comprises an electrode for recording identification information of the biosensor thereon. The electrode has an electrode pattern and a plurality of contact points formed thereon according to the identification information, and the identification information is recorded on the electrode based on the ratio of resistances between the plurality of contact points. According to the present invention, various items of identification information such as in¬ formation on recognition of electrical connection between the contact points of the biosensor and a readout meter, the kind of a target substance, measurement conditions, production information of the biosensor, analysis information of the target substance, user information, available meter information and the like are automatically recognized by the readout meter through the electrodes.
Abstract:
A steel plate structure and a steel plate concrete wall are disclosed. A steel plate structure, which includes: a pair of steel plates, which are separated to provide a predetermined space; a structural member, which is positioned in the predetermined space, and which is structurally rigidly joined to one side of the steel plate in the direction of gravity; and a strut, which maintains a separation distance between the pair of steel plates, can be utilized to reduce the overall thickness of a steel plate concrete wall for efficient use of space, and to reduce the thickness of the steel plates for better welding properties and larger unit module sizes. Also, the axial forces or lateral forces applied on the steel plate concrete wall may be effectively resisted.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically amount of nicotinic acid and a nicotinic acid compound or mixtures thereof in a sustained release form and a therapeutically amount of a HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor in a fast release form which can optimally treat hyperlipidemia and arteriosclerosis by minimizing the interaction of two drugs. The pharmaceutical composition of the present invention comprising a coated two- layer tablet a) one sustained release layer containing nicotinic acid and a nicotinic acid compound or mixtures thereof, together with a sustained release polymer and b) another fast release layer containing a HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor, a film- or layer- forming agent, a re- crystallization inhibitor and a plasticizer, can minimize the interaction of the two drugs via controlled release profile and treat optimally hyperlipidemia and arteriosclerosis.
