Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerizable composition excellent in storage stability and capable of industrial production of a minute resin molded product excellent in quality stability.SOLUTION: The polymerizable composition is obtained by cooling and solidifying a mixture that contains a norbornene monomer and a metathesis polymerization catalyst. It is preferable that: the freezing point of the norbornene monomer is 20°C or larger; and a ruthenium carbene complex is used as the metathesis polymerization catalyst.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite molded object which possesses good moldability and rigidity in combination without the generation of warpage and excellent adhesive properties between artificial marble and a norbornene-based resin molded object. SOLUTION: This composite molded object is comprised of a norbornene-based resin molded object prepared by bulk-polymerizing a norbornene-based monomer in a mold, and an artificial marble. In addition, the norbornene-based resin molded object contains a fibrous filler with a 5 to 100 aspect ratio and a particulate filler with 1 to 2 aspect ratio. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a norbornene-based resin molding that controls occurrence of filler content unevenness (filler deviation) in an obtained molding even in the case of addition of a filler so as to improve rigidity and strength properties, has slight reduction and dispersion of molding density and effectively prevents defects in terms of appearance and property deterioration caused by content unevenness. SOLUTION: The method for producing a norbornene-based resin molding comprises a process for separately sending two or more reaction stock solutions to a mixing head, mixing the two or more reaction stock solutions in the mixing head to obtain a reaction liquid containing a norbornene-based monomer, a metathesis catalyst and a filler and a process for injecting the reaction liquid to a mold and subjecting the reaction liquid to a bulk polymerization in the mold. When the total of feed pressure of the whole reaction stock solutions constituting the reaction liquid to the mixing head is 100%, the feed pressure of the reaction stock solutions (liquid F) containing the filler to the mixing head is in the range of 20-40%. SOLUTION: The norbornene resin molded item is obtained by bulk polymerization of norbornene monomers in a mold and contains a glass fiber having an average fiber length of 0.08-1.0 mm and an aspect ratio of 5-100. Preferably, the molded item comprises 100 pts.wt. of norbornene monomers and, incorporated therewith, 5-400 pts.wt. of the glass fiber. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
A reaction injection molded body having a uniform coating film over the entire surface can be easily produced by obtaining a molded body through bulk polymerization of a polymerizable composition within a mold and then forming a coating film on the surface of the molded body within the mold by an in-mold coating method. The polymerizable composition contains a norbornene monomer, a polymerization catalyst and an inorganic filler composed of a fibrous filler having an aspect ratio of 5-100 and a particulate filler having an aspect ratio of 1-2.
