Abstract:
Particulate expandable styrene polymers are coated with a distilled acetylated monoglyceride product to reduce the cooling time of articles molded from such expandable styrene polymers. Coating of the expandable particulate styrene polymer is obtained by contacting the polymer with an emulsion of a distilled acetylated monoglyceride and water with a suitable surfactant. The distilled acetylated monoglyceride is a liquid at room temperature and is substantially completely acetylated.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a covered container comprising a container body (14) and a lid (12). The container body (14) has a bottom (16) and four sidewalls (18,20, 22,24), the upper portion of each sidewall (18,20,22, 24) terminating in a sealing rim (28) having an outer sealing corner (32), an inner sealing corner (30) and a shelf (26) below the inner sealing corner (30). The container has a flexible lid (12) having a circumferential sealing ridge (40) comprising a downwardly sloping outer ridge (44) and a downwardly sloping inner ridge wall (46) and a circumferential trough (48) adjacent the sealing ridge (40). When the container is closed, a primary container seal is formed between one sealing corner of each wall and its corresponding ridge wall in the lid. The circumferential trough (48) and shelf (26) forms a secondary seal within the container located below the primary seal and is particularly effective in inhibiting moisture that condenses on the lid from migrating to the primary seal.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a web of cellulosic fibres characterised in that it comprises as a water-soluble emollient an agent selected from:
(A) Lauroamphoglycinate (B) A high molecular weight cationic quaternary homopolymer or copolymer derived from dimethyl ammonium salt (C) A tri-quaternary phospholipid complex derived from a fatty acid and (D) Glucose glutamate said agent being present in an amount from 0.1 to 2 percent by weight of the web.

Abstract:
There is disclosed a multiple roll towel dispenser. The dispenser cabinet has a pair of feed rollers (37,38) forming a feed roll nip (35), means (43) for driving one of the feed rollers (37) to dispense web (30W) from the cabinet, means (32,33) in the cabinet for supporting a first roll (30) of web material with its web extended between the feed roll nip (35), and means (47) for supporting a second roll (28) of web material with its web (28W) extended adjacent to the feed roll nip (35). The dispenser also includes means (75), contacting the edge of the first roll (30), having a first position for sensing the diameter of the first roll; means (84), connected to the sensing means (75), for biasing the sensing means (75) against the edge of the first roll (30); biased transfer means (51) for introducing the extended web (28W) of the second roll (28) into the feed roll nip (35); and stop means (75a), connected to the sensing means (75), the stop means (75a) being located to resist motion of the transfer means (51) at a ready position when the edge of the first roll (30) resists movement of the sensing means (75). When the edge of the first roll (30) no longer resists movement of the sensing means (75), the sensing means (75) and connected stop means (75a) moves to a second position which allows the biased transfer means (51) to move to a transfer position where the extended web (28W) of the second roll (28) is introduced into the feed roll nip (35).
