PURPOSE: A video transmission apparatus, and a wireless network selection method for guaranteeing the best quality of experience are provided to satisfy both a cost request and a quality request of plural users having different preferences. CONSTITUTION: A collection unit(111) collects information from each layer, and an estimation unit estimates the packet loss rate and available bandwidth of a currently-used wireless channel from the information collected from the information collection unit. A calculation unit(114) calculates the rest packet loss rate of a video set determined by a determination unit(113).
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for decoding a video are provided to select data with least error with original image data among sub information generated in a decoder when decoding the original image data in a distribution video coding. CONSTITUTION: A method and an apparatus for decoding a video include a sub information generator(210), the first turbo decoder(220), a bit selector(230), and the second turbo decoder(240). The sub information generator predicts an original image to generate a plurality of sub information. The first turbo decoder generates decoded sub information by turbo-decoding each sub information. A bit selector receives decoded sub information and generate final sub information based on the frequency of toggles. The second turbo decoder is restored to original image data using partial information and final sub information about the original image data.

PURPOSE: A method for configuring an encoded stereoscopic image data file is provided to have a hierarchical structure and a structure for systematically storing intrinsic meta data in a stereoscopic image, thereby efficiently storing the encoded stereoscopic image data. CONSTITUTION: A file type declaration unit(100) directs whether a file is about a stereoscopic image. A metadata unit(200) includes one or more track containers for containing metadata of the encoded stereoscopic image data. An image data unit(300) comprises one or more stereoscopic image data containers for containing image information of the image data.
Abstract:
A deblocking filtering apparatus is provided to remove the blocking phenomena caused by the brightness compensation and/or color difference compensation. A deblocking filtering apparatus comprises a boundary filtering strength determining unit and a filtering applying unit. The boundary filtering strength determining unit determines the boundary filtering strength between two blocks which are adjacent to each other. If it is determined that the blocks are not intra-coded(S301), the determining unit whether at least one of the blocks has an orthogonal conversion coefficient(S303). The filtering applying unit applies filtering for the blocks according to the boundary filtering strength outputted from the boundary filtering strength determining unit.

A mode prediction according to a direction of an intra predictive mode improving the coding efficiency and a quantification matrix and a scanning application and an application thereof are provided to improve the performance of coding by using a static pattern of DCT coefficients. An encoder predicts an optimum intra mode by determining directivity among nine intra modes. An intra prediction determines whether to directivity between an intra prediction mode of a current block and an intra prediction mode of an adjacent block. If the quantization matrix sharing within an encoder and a decoder and the suitable quantization matrix is selected according to the direct of intra-mode, this matrix is applied to the quantization process.

A multi-secondary information generation method of distributed video coding and a video terminal using the method are provided to lower a transmission rate by a repeated decoding process through feedback. Plural supplementary information frames are generated by using plural candidate frames. The plural candidate frames are generated by applying multi-motion measurement and compensation interpolation methods. A multi-motion measurement is acquired as changing a location of a pixel from which a unit block is initiated. Distributed video coding is carried out by using the plural supplementary information frames. When the plural candidate frames are generated, size of the unit block is changed.

A liquid crystal display device and a screen displaying method thereof are provided to obtain the desired brightness by increasing the opened degree of liquid crystal through a liquid crystal panel driving circuit. A liquid crystal display device comprises a liquid crystal panel(10), a backlight unit(20), a backlight unit driving circuit(42) and a liquid crystal panel driving circuit(41). The backlight unit comprises a plurality of light-emitting bodies(30). The backlight unit driving circuit obtains the brightness information of each light-emitting body by using pixel values of a screen, and then transmits the obtained information to the light-emitting bodies. The liquid crystal panel driving circuit controls the opened degree of liquid crystal of the liquid crystal panel by using the brightness information.

A file type declaring part(100) indicates whether the file is about the stereoscopic image. Meta data part(200) includes one or more track container of the encoded stereoscopic video data including the magnetic track container. An image data part(300) includes one or more stereoscopic image data container having image information of the encoded stereoscopic video data.
