Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for deciding the failure of an air-fuel ratio feedback control system is provided to prevent the wrong decision of the failure of a fuel system and the increment of exhaust gas by additively changing the output voltage of an oxygen sensor. Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling evaporative emission of HC(hydro-carbon) gas are provided to achieve improved power performance of automobile and stabilize control of air-fuel ratio. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a fuel tank(20) mounted with a filler cap(21) and a pressure sensor(22); a check valve(30) mounted on a connection passage(21) for interconnecting the fuel tank and atmosphere, wherein the check valve selectively opens/shuts by the pressure of the HC gas generated in the fuel tank; a hot wire type purifying unit(40) mounted on the connection passage arranged in the rear of the check valve, and which purifies the HC gas flowing through the check valve by oxidizing the HC gas; and an electronic control unit(50) for controlling supply of power to the hot wire type purifying unit in accordance with the pressure in the fuel tank transmitted from the pressure sensor.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for correcting for an air flow is provided to reduce an exhaust gas flow and to improve stability of an idle state of a vehicle by correcting the air flow. CONSTITUTION: An idle state is maintained and a temperature of cooling water in an engine is checked(S210). Then, an air flow required for P and R ranges of an automatic transmission is checked in real time(S220). After that, it is determined whether or not a gear-shift is carried out from P to R ranges(S230). Then, an R.P.M of a turbine is checked(S240). It is determined whether or not an R.P.M variation of the turbine is larger than a predetermined value(S250). If the R.P.M variation of the turbine is larger than the predetermined value, a correcting value of air according to a temperature of cooling water is corrected to a gain according to a temperature of cooling water. Then, the air flow is reduced until the compensating value of air reaches zero(S260).
