Abstract:
PURPOSE: A channel estimating apparatus and a method thereof are provided to prevent delay in discriminating a power control bit, control a closed loop power more accurately, and enhance a performance of a channel compensation by using a predicted value in estimating a channel. CONSTITUTION: A PCB(Power Control Bit) signal of a received pilot signal identifies the received signal, is signal-processed in a pre-processing and inputted as one signal. The pre-processed signal is divided into two outputs, one of which is inputted to a PCB detector(107) and the other is inputted to a first mixer(109). The first mixer(109) mixes the pre-processed signal and an output signal of a switch(111) and outputs the mixed signal to an FIR(Finite Impulse Response) filter. The switch(111) outputs 0 , 1 or one of output signals of a processor(400). Then, an FIR filer(300) takes and outputs an average value of multiple symbols. The FIR filer(300) includes a predictor(200). The predictor(200) is formed as an LLR(Log Likelihood Ratio) filter and serves to receive the power control bit coherently. The predictor(200) also serves as a channel estimator.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for measuring an SIR(Signal to Interference Ratio) and a receiver containing the same are provided to exactly measure an SIR by detecting only a pure user signal power from a received signal. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for measuring an SIR comprises an average signal power measurement part(20), an average interference signal power measurement part(30), an adder(40), and an SIR generation part(300). The average signal power measurement part(20) receives one of complex multi-path signals and measures the average signal power containing user signal power, noise power, and another user signal power. The average interference signal power measurement part(30) receives one complex multi-path signal from the average signal power measurement part(20) and measures the average signal power containing the noise power of a desired user signal and the power of another user signal using an unused OVSF(Orthogonal Variable Spreading Factor) code. The adder(40) outputs a pure user signal power using the outputs of the average signal power measurement part(20) and the average interference signal power measurement part(30). The SIR generation part(300) divides the user signal power by the average interference signal power and outputs an SIR.

소정의 길이를 가지는 제1준직교부호의 정수배의 길이를 가지는 제2준직교부호를 사용하여 입력된 심볼들을 채널 확산하는 CDMA 시스템의 기지국 장치의 채널 확산장치가, 제2준직교부호를 생성하는 확산부호 발생기와, 제2준직교부호의 구간을 상기 제1준직교부호의 길이에 따른 정수배로 분할한 복수의 구간들을 제공하고 분할된 복수의 구간들에 각각 대응되는 길이로 분할된 준직교부호들로 채널 부호화된 심볼들을 각각 확산하므로써 제2준직교부호의 구간에서 제1준직교부호 구간의 정수배의 심볼들을 확산하므로써 제2준직교부호의 구간에서 제1준직교부호 구간의 정수배의 심볼들을 확산하는 채널 확산기와, 채널 확산된 신호를 단부호로 확산하는 단부호 확산기로 구성된다.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling powers of an orthogonal code spreading channel and a quasi-orthogonal code spreading channel in a CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) communication system are provided to divide channel signals spread as inter-different codes, measure each SIR(Signal to Interference Ratio), and control the powers of the channels. CONSTITUTION: The first channel generator including the first channel encoder(11), the first interleaver(13), and a multiplier(15) spreads the first data as an orthogonal code and generates the first channel signal. The second channel generator including the second channel encoder(12), the second interleaver(14), and a multiplier(16) spreads the second data as a quasi-orthogonal code and generates the second channel signal. The first gain adjuster(17) adjusts a power gain of the first channel signal. The second gain adjuster(18) adjusts a power gain of the second channel signal. A spreader including an adder(20) and a multiplier(21) adds the first and second channel signals and spreads the added signal. The controller(19) controls the power gain values of the first and second gain adjusters(17,18).

본 발명은 적어도 두 개 이상의 송신 안테나를 구비하는 이동통신시스템에서 송신 안테나에 따른 전력제어비트 패턴을 발생하여 송신 안테나를 구분하기 위한 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 상기 전력제어비트 패턴 송신장치가, 송신 안테나를 식별할수 있는 전력제어비트를 발생하는 전력제어비트 패턴 발생기와, 송신 데이터에 상기 전력제어비트를 삽입하는 전력제어비트 삽입기와, 상기 전력제어비트 삽입기의 출력을 확산 변조하여 출력하는 확산변조기와, 상기 확산변조기의 출력을 해당 송신 안테나로 전달하는 스위치로 구성된다.
