Abstract: Disclosed are a protected anode for lithium air batteries and a lithium air battery including the protected anode. The protected anode comprises: an anode for storing and discharging lithium ions; a lithium ion-conductive solid electrolyte membrane; and a polymer electrolyte disposed between the anode and the ion-conductive solid electrolyte membrane, wherein the polymer electrolyte includes a lithium ion-conductive polymer, a compound represented by Formula 1 having a number average molecular weight from about 300 to about 1,000, and a lithium salt, wherein an amount of the compound of Formula 1 is from about 10 parts to about 25 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the polymer electrolyte. In Formula 1, R1 to R6, and n are the same as defined in the specification.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An electrolyte for a lithium air battery is provided to effectively suppress evaporation of a lithium air battery and to prevent interface separation between an electrode and electrolyte, thereby improving lifetime and electric performance. CONSTITUTION: A lithium secondary battery comprises a negative electrode capable of storing lithium ions; a lithium ion conductive solid electrolyte membrane; and a positive electrode which has oxygen as a positive electrode active material; and a lithium ion conductive polymer, a compound represented by chemical formula 1, and a lithium salt between the lithium ion conductive solid electrolyte membrane and a positive electrode. The lithium ion conductive polymer is a hydrophilic matrix polymer. The content of the lithium ion conductive polymer is 1-90 parts by weight based on 100.0 parts by weight of the compound represented by chemical formula 1.
