    Abstract: PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to individually control transmissivities of light transmitting pixel areas by individually forming cell gaps appropriate for pixel areas respectively, thereby realizing color compensation. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of gate lines(22) is formed on a first insulating substrate. A gate insulating film covers the gate lines.     Abstract: PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a method for driving the same are provided to reduce deterioration of horizontal lines and maximize charging rates of pixel electrodes. CONSTITUTION: A timing controller outputs a first timing signal having a variable pulse period according to RGB input data and inversion polarity by the frame, and outputs a second timing signal having a variable pulse period according to inversion polarity by the frame. A data driver loads the RGB input data, differentiating times recording every data lines according to the first timing signal, converts the loaded RGB input data for outputting to data lines of a liquid crystal panel. A gate driver outputs a plurality of gate signals(G14,G21,G22,G23,G24,G31) turning on and off a switching element of the liquid crystal panel according to the second timing signal. As a result, the pulse width of a first data signal in a same polarity section in a n-line inversion method is expanded than the pulse width of the data signal in a normal line inversion method. The pulse widths of the other data signals are reduced than the pulse widths of the data signals in the normal line inversion method. The timing controller interrupts overlap of gate signals generated in the moment that the data signal of a first polarity is converted into the data signal of a second polarity.
