Abstract: PURPOSE: An image recording/reproducing device and a stored file list selecting method thereof are provided to list up files stored in a memory device of an image recording/reproducing device, and to display the listed files on a screen to easily/quickly access the files, so that a user can more easily use the image recording/reproducing device. CONSTITUTION: A system selects a menu key of a remote controller, and displays an initial menu guide list screen on TV(S100,S110). If a user locates a selection bar on a 'juke box' menu and inputs an enter key(S120), the system selects the menu to display the menu on TV(S130). If the user moves the selection bar to an 'HDD play list' menu and inputs the enter key, the system selects the 'HDD play list' menu(S140). A main controller lists up a file play list for sound data recorded on a hard disk drive in a middle area, and displays the data(S150). While a lower folder of a 'root' folder exists in the play list, if the user selects a predetermined lower folder by operating the enter key and directional keys(S160), the system displays sound file lists and a folder name of the lower folder on a play list screen(S170).
