An antivirus composition containing an Alnus japonica extract is provided to ensure lower toxicity than normal cell and excellent anti-influenza virus effect even administrating in low concentration. A method for manufacturing an Alnus japonica bark or stem extract which has anti-influenza virus activity comprises: a step of extracting the Alnus japonica bark or stem with 80-100% of ethanol at 30-80°C; and a step of vacuum-concentrating, drying and collecting the extract at the same temperature. A food composition for preventing influenza virus disorder or improving influenza virus disorder treatment comprises the Alnus japonica bark or stem extract and sitologically allowable food additive.

A composition comprising an extract of Alnus japonic is provided to be safe and effective for preventing and treating influenza viral diseases due to low toxicity to chorioallantoic cells and excellent anti-viral effect of the extract, thereby being usefully used for foods or pharmaceutical compositions. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating influenza virus such as human influenza virus, swine influenza virus, equine influenza virus and avian influenza virus comprises an extract of leaves, heartwood or bark of Alnus japonic and a pharmaceutically acceptable additive. The avian influenza virus is KBNP-0028 which has a deposit number of KCTC 10866BP.

본 발명은 에스트로젠 활성 및 암 세포에 대한 증식 억제 활성을 나타내는 감초( Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch) 추출물 또는 이솔리퀴리틴(isoliquiritin)을 유효성분으로 하는 파이토에스트로젠(phytoestrogen) 조성물에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 감초 추출물 또는 이솔리퀴리틴은 에스트로젠성은 나타내나 안드로젠성은 나타내지 않고, 내분비계 장애물질인 비스페놀-A의 활성을 억제하며, 유방암 세포를 비롯한 암 세포의 증식을 저해하므로, 파이토에스트로젠으로서 호르몬 대체 치료 및 유방암의 예방 및 치료를 위해 사용될 수 있다.

PURPOSE: A phytoestrogenic composition containing a Glycyrrhizae Radix extract or isoliquiritin having potent phytoestrogenic activity is provided. The composition exhibits phytoestrogenic properties, inhibits the activity of bisphenol A as an endocrine disrupting substance and suppresses proliferation of cancer cells including breast cancer cells and is thus used for hormone replacement therapy and prevention and treatment of breast cancer. CONSTITUTION: The phytoestrogenic composition contains a Glycyrrhizae Radix extract or isoliquiritin as an effective ingredient and is used for prevention and treatment of osteoporosis, cardiac and circulatory disorders, menopause symptoms or cancer. The Glycyrrhizae Radix extract is prepared by extracting in an organic solvent selected from the group consisting of C1-4 alcohol, C1-4 aqueous alcohol solution, ethyl acetate, trichloromethyl and hexane. The C1-4 alcohol is methanol or ethanol. A food composition for treatment of the symptoms of menopause and prevention of cancer contains 0.1 to 50% by weight of the organic solvent extract of Glycyrrhizae Radix extract, based on the total weight of the food composition.
