PURPOSE: An EMBMS(Evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service) chatting service providing system, provider server, and user terminal control method thereof are provided to effectively use radio resources by using the capability of an MBMS(Multimedia Broadcast Multimedia Service). CONSTITUTION: One or more user terminals(250) transmits and receives content and conversation messages by requesting the open of the chatting channels in order to transmit conversation messages to plural mobile subscribers who participate in a chatting channel and to receive the conversation messages to the mobile subscribers. An eBM-SC(evolved Broadcast Multicast-Services Center)(230) controls EMBMS in order to transmit the conversation messages to one or more user terminals by using the EMBMS. A service provider server(210) transmits user service information, first bearer service information, and the content.

PURPOSE: A MBMS(Multimedia Broadcast and Multicast Service) control device and a method thereof are provided to serve MBMS service when a mobile terminal is arrived to the serviceable location. CONSTITUTION: A receiver(210) receives a multicast control channel information. A list update unit(220) periodically renew an offerable service list of a mobile terminal by using the received multicast control channel information. In case of requesting a service which is not included in the service list, a pendency list directory(230) registers the service requested in the pendency list. When the mobile terminal reaches to the location serving the service registered in the pendency list, a service provider(240) serves the service registered in the pendency list.

PURPOSE: A streaming server, a mobile terminal, and a method for reducing channel zapping delay are provided to transmit base layer data to every time slice, thereby displaying a picture by the base layer data of a channel requested by a channel change. CONSTITUTION: An encoding unit(210) classifies each of channel data into base layer data and extension layer data. The encoding unit encodes the classified data. A division unit(220) divides the encoded channel data by a time slice unit. A cycle data transmitting unit(230) transmits time slice cycle data about each channel. A stream transmitting unit(240) transmits the divided data at a preset time.

A handover method between heterogeneous wireless communication networks is provided to enable a mobile terminal to minimize the delay time generated when transmitting data in the handover between a 3GPP(3rd Generation Partnership Project) network and a non-reliable 3GPP network by performing the role of a virtual eNB. A registration procedure request to the first wireless network is received from a mobile terminal(10) of the second wireless network(S500). If the registration authentication for the mobile terminal is requested, the registration procedure request is approved(S510,S520). If the base station information of a destination location is received from the approved mobile terminal, a handover request message of the mobile terminal is transmitted to the destination-side base station(S560,S562). If a handover procedure completion message is received from the destination-side base station, a communication tunnel formed with the mobile terminal is released(S570,S590).

A handover method for reducing packet loss is provided to be capable of shortening a handover procedure by previously allocating an address of a new subnet area to be handed over before the handover procedure is started, so as to cut down time for the handover procedure, thereby minimizing packet loss. A subnet address request message to be used in the second cell is received from a portable terminal, and the message is delivered to the second router(S302-S310). A response message corresponding to the subnet address request message is received from the second router, is converted, and the converted message is transmitted to the portable terminal(S320). A handover request message is received from the portable terminal(S330). Address information of the portable terminal, flow numbers, and context information including QoS(Quality of Service) information are transmitted to the second cell(S340). A tunnel with the second cell is generated, and packets to be transmitted to the portable terminal are transmitted to the second cell through the tunnel(S350).
