    Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify the process for forming the hologram in such a manner that a relief image can be formed only by heating by using a positive type material having a high resolution and high sensitivity as a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The recording material for the hologram is formed by providing the photosensitive layer formed by adding a sensitizer to the following (A) and (B) on a base: (A) A high-polymer compd. having at least one of the structural unit expressed by general formula (1) (where R1 denotes a substituent which easily causes hydrolysis by an acid). (B) A photoacid generator which generates a strong acid by photoirradiation. The photopolymer compd. having the structural unit expressed by general formula (I) includes ester high-polymer compds., such as acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, maleic acid and fumaric acid. The compd. which generates the strong acid by the photoirradiation includes the compd. expressed by general formula (III). The above-mentioned recording body is heated in a dark place after exposing to a pattern shape for a prescribed period of time by using a light source, such as Helium-Cadmium, argon laser, by which the surface relief image is formed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obviate the degradation of resolution with age by utilizing an orientation change of a liquid crystal by light to record information. CONSTITUTION:A molecular layer 2 of a high-polymer compd. having the residual group to generate a reversible structure change by light is fixed onto a transparent substrate 1 and further, a liquid crystal layer 3 is provided thereon. Since the arrangement of the liquid crystal is defined by the photochromic high-polymer layer 2, the definition by the liquid crystal having flowability is excellent and the deterioration thereof with age is obviated.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation in definition with age which occurs in flowability by providing a liquid crystal layer via a molecular layer of a compd. which is reversibly changed in structure by light on a transparent substrate. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal layer is provided via the molecular layer of the compd. which is reversibly changed in structure by light on the transparent substrate. A photochromic compd. is most ordinarily used as this compd. The photochromic compd. refers to a compd. which is changed in structure by the effect of light and is thereby changed in the behavior to light, for example, color tone. Provision of the molecular layer of such photochromic compd. is executed by methods usually used for perpendicular orientation of liquid crystals; for example, a method of treating the substrate with the photochromic compd. having a surface active group, a method of treating the substrate with the photochromic compd. having at least one halogen atom or a sillyl group substd. with an alkoxy group, etc. The definition by the liquid crystal having the flowability is thereby improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled polymer having the improved water-resisting property of a cured film, remaining the high sensitivity and the preservative property, and capable of giving the water developing property by binding a specific side chain to a main chain of carbon atoms having a repeated unit of (C-C). CONSTITUTION:The side chain having a styryl pyridium group and a styryl quinolinium group and the side chain having an azido group are bound to the carbon main chain. Namely, said carbon main chain has the first side chain shown by formula (I) and the 2nd side chains shown by formula (II) and/or formula (III). In the formulas, (m) is an integer of 0 or 1, (n) is an integer of 1-6, A is a functional group. Thus, the titled polymer has the improved water- resisting property of the cured film, remaining the characteristics of the high sensitivity and the preservative property, thereby obtaining the contradicting properties of the water-developing and the water-resisting properties. As the both side chains have the photosensitive property, the titled polymer can hold the high sensitivity.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an electrodeposited thin film of a phthalocyanine compound useful as a catalyst and an organic electronic material, by dissolving an octaalkoxyphthalocyanine compound in an organic solvent, dipping a conductor into the solution and electrifying the solution using the conductor as a working electrode. CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula (R is 1-18C alkyl; M is H2, Mg, Cr, Mn, Fe, Cu, Zn, Pb, etc.) is dissolved in an organic solvent (e.g. dichloromethane, DMF, etc.), a supporting electrolyte (e.g. LiClO4) is added to the solution and the mixture is filled in an electrolytic cell. A conductor (e.g. Pt, graphite, etc.) and a counter electrode are inserted into the mixture to effect the electrolytic deposition of a thin film of a phthalocyanine compound on the conductor. The process enables the production of a thin film free from binder and having freely controllable thickness. The thin film has uniform composition and sufficiently high adhesivity to the substrate. The compound becomes insoluble in solvents other than concentrated sulfuric acid by the electrolytic deposition.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To efficiently produce Z-aspartame from Z-L-aspartic acid, by using a photocrosslinked polyvinyl alcohol, having specific functional groups and saponification degree and containing immobilized thermolysin. CONSTITUTION:Stilbazolium groups in an amount of 0.5-10mol%, preferably 0.8-4mol% are introduced into polyvinyl alcohol having >=80mol%, particularly >=85mol% saponification degree and preferably 1,000-2,000 polymerization degree to give photocrosslinkable polyvinyl alcohol. 10-50wt% thermolysin is added to an aqueous solution of the above-mentioned photocrosslinkable polyvinyl alcohol to provide a mixed solution, which is then molded into the form of a film or fiber, dried and irradiated with light to form a photocrosslinked material and afford an immobilized enzyme having preferably 10-50mum thickness or diameter of the molded article. The above-mentioned immobilized enzyme is capable of catalyzing condensation reaction of Z-L- aspartic acid with L-phenylalanine methyl ester and producing Z-aspartame.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a thin film of immobilized enzyme having high strength and free from stickiness, by including a cellulosic substance produced by a microorganism in a thin film produced by immobilizing an enzyme or microorganism on a carrier made of polyvinyl alcohol. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution or aqueous suspension of a photosetting polyvinyl alcohol having a concentration of about 1-20wt% is added with (A) an enzyme or microorganism to be immobilized and (B) a cellulosic substance produced by a microorganism and the mixture is thoroughly mixed. The amounts of the components A and B are about 10-100% and 5-10% based on the immobilization carrier on dry weight, basis, respectively. The obtained mixture is transferred on a glass plate or Teflon plate, formed to a thickness of about 0.1-1mm and dried in air.
