Abstract: An electromechanical apparatus for breaking, forming and irradiating tubing connectors (48,52,54) for exchanging connectors in CAPD has a housing with top and bottom removably attached portions (12,14). The exchange is effected manually (20) under electronic control (31) and means is provided to force the user to comply with a predetermined sequence of steps in effecting exchange and radiation. This is provided in part by the electronic control circuit (31) and in part by mechanical means such as cam means (60,62) which prevent movement to effect a connection until a disconnection has been fully effected.
