Abstract: PURPOSE:To output plural documents even without providing an edition number designating function on a transmission side by providing an analyzing means to analyze document information including edition number information from a transmitting destination. CONSTITUTION:This equipment is provided with receiving means 13 and 14 to receive the document information including the edition number information from the transmitting destination, an analyzing means 10 to analyze the edition number information from the document information received by the receiving means 13 and 14, and output means 3 and 8 to output the documents according to the number of documents to be edited based on the edition number information analyzed by the analyzing means 10. Then, the receiving means 13 and 14 receive the document information including the edition number information from the transmitting destination, the analyzing means 10 analyzes the edition number information from the document information received by the receiving means, and the output means 3 and 8 output the plural documents according to the number of documents to be edited based on the analyzed edition number information. Thus, even without providing the edition number designating function on the transmission side, the number of documents to be outputted on the reception side can be designated on the transmission side.
