    Abstract: PURPOSE:To hear a sound service message, which is sent from an exchange, transmitting tone or busy tone when there is no sound service message, as well by providing a discrimination control part to connect a receiver and a B channel control part by receiving a control signal from a D channel control part. CONSTITUTION:When a CALL-PROC signal is inputted from an ISDN network 9, a D channel control part 7 investigates a parameter in the signal and when it is discriminated that a sound signal is outputted from an exchange 10, a command showing such a state is sent to a discrimination control part 5. The discrimination control part 5 connects a B channel control part 6 and a CODEC 2 and the sound message like 'called party is just under calling, please wait for a moment', for example, to be sent from the exchange 10 flows to a receiver 1-2. The discrimination control part 5 simultaneously sends out the command to a display part 4 as well and according to this command, the display part 4 executes the display of [sound from exchange].
