Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent advers effect onto other communication line by providing a diagnosing part in a frame so as to diagnose an address comparator theregy detecting a faulty part. CONSTITUTION:The diagnosing part comprising a test time slot TS part (TTS) and a line ID part (LID 0, 1) is provided in the frame circulating through a rind data transmission line. A supervisory device SV sets a TS value desired to be tested and transmits the result. When a communication device receiving the frame finds out a synchronizing pattern, it is informed of a frame counter 10, which counts the TS and transmits the TS in the TTS to an address comparator AC 12 via a register RG 17. The AC 12 comares the TS value sent with the assigned TS, and when they are coincident, an information processing part 18 is informed of it. The processing part 18 reads an LID from the RG 13, inserts a read address NA and a line address LA in which a BUSY bit is logical ''0'', the bit is brought into ligical ''1'' (BUSY=''1''), and the resulting frame is transmitted. The SV extracts the TS, NA and LA, collates them with those of a management table to recognize the state of the AC 12.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a data highway system with high reliability by applying self-diagnosis to a time slot detection circuit group in each communication controller. CONSTITUTION:When a data arrives in a communication controller and a synchronizing flag detecting circuit 41 detects a synchronizing flag, a time slot TS counter circuit 43 counts a TS, the count is used as a TS number and transmitted to a TS comparison circuit 51 via a TS switching circuit 46. The circuit 51 compares the TS number set in a TS setting circuit 52 with the TS number from the circuit 43, and when they are coincident, a data in the TS is stored in a register 47 in the line adaptor part 62 and transmitted to a data terminal device 61. A TS number of the adaptor part 62 being an object of diagnosis execution is written to a line control address register LCAR 54 of a microprocessor uPC 64 at a reception time band of a frame header, transmitted to the circuit 51 via the circuit 46, the result of comparison is written in an external register of the uPC 64, and when the TS number transmitted by the uPC 64 and the TS number set by the circuit 52 are coincident, it is discriminated that the circuits 51, 52 are operated normally.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve the availability of a communication system by providing a means which generates communication frames and transmits them to a circular communication line, a means which constitutes a loop back path from prescribed one of communication lines of two systems to the other if the abnormality of the signal on one of said communication lines is detected at least, and a means which releases the loop back path.
CONSTITUTION: Each of communication controllers of terminal stations 2-3, 2-4, and 2-5 is provided with the communication frame generating function and the function which provides a compensation delay time to repeat communication frames, namely, the function by which the communication controller can be a master station. If the abnormality of reception signals from one or both of communication lines of two systems is detected, the loop back path through which the output of one communication line is turned back to the other is constituted in accordance with a prescribed system, and the number of the station which sets the loop back path is indicated in communication frames which are generated or repeated and transmitted. Thus, frames where the station number of reception frames of both systems or the station number of the station itself is indicated are received by the system which transmits loop back signals, and the station releases the loop back path.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve the utilizing efficiency by making the relay delay when supervising and relaying are executed as an active set and a signal is relayed as a spare set identical.
CONSTITUTION: When a fault is detected by an input signal fault detector 49, a control circuit 32 continues the frame timing received in a frame buffer 44 as it is and uses the timing to constitute a new frame, which is outputted to a transmission line 33 and then to a transmission line 36 via a switch 46, a parallel/serial converter 47, a switch 45 and an output repeater 48. Thus, the transmission signal keeps the timing of the relayed signal frame through a delay circuit 51 so far and each communication controller keeps reception/relay without causing out of synchronism.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reconstitute a highway without disconnecting nodes by using transmission lines bi-directionally and using a connected transmission line to consitute a communication bus if the transmission line of a current system or a stand-by system is connected to nodes adjacent to a disconnection position of the transmission line though the transmission line is disconnected. CONSTITUTION:In case of transmission of light to the transmission line, a prism 13 is pulled upward as shown in a figure (a), and an electric input signal is applied to a light emitting element 15, and this signal is converted to light and is transmitted to a transmission line 17. The light emitted to the side opposite to the transmission line can be monitored by a photodetector 16. In case of reception of light from the transmission line, the prism is pulled downward as shown in a figure (b). Then, the light from the transmission line 17 reaches the photodetector 16 through a route indicated by a solid line and is converted to an electric signal. This constitution is placed in positions 19, 20, 21, and 22 to use the optical transmission line in bi-directionally.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To shorten the retransmission time by adding a transmission packet order area into a packet format and providing a packet switching device with a packet order checking function and reproducing data transmission if data is dropped-out. CONSTITUTION:The packet transmission order area and a dropped-out packet number informing area are provided in data format packets flowed on a transmission line. Transmission data transmitted from a subsystem 23 is stored in a transmission packet buffer memory 20 of the packet switching device, and a subsystem control circuit 17 transmits a packet transmission request signal to a common control circuit 15. The common control circuit 15 detects an unused packet from frames passing data buffer registers 4, 5, 6, and 8 and adds the transmission packet order and transmits it onto the transmission line through a repeater 2. In the reception side, drop-out of coming packets is checked by a packet order checking circuit 18; and if drop-out is detected, retransmission request and the number of the packet whose retransmission is desired are reported to transmission/reception packet switching devices, and the transmission- packet switching device transmits desired data.

If erroneous connection of the transmission line is detected as the result of diagnosis of the transmission line, the device SV releases loop back and instructs the pertinent node to by-pass both systems, and a test frame is transmitted from a system L0, and input sides of systems L0 and L1 are monitored to find the position of erroneous connection.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain detection even with duplicated node addresses by conducting address check of station nodes sequentially by an address check command from supervising node. CONSTITUTION:When a power source is applied on a data highway system, the supervising node SV starts a microprocessor so as to conduct an initial program load. When the operation is finished, the node address check command is transmitted from a command register. The node address is checked by using the response of the station node address from station nodes STO-STn. When the address check is finished, since the supervising node SV gives a neglecting release instruction to all the stations nodes STO-STn, all the station nodes STO-STn receive the next command.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To detect simply an ineffective packet, by reading a transmitted address added to the packet and collating it with the state of each station. CONSTITUTION:Stations 2-7 are connected to a transmission line of loop form. An address is given to each station. A monitor SV1 detects and deletes ineffective packets which exist on the transmission line and are not assigned. The monitor is provided with an address table which records whether or not each station receives a packet. The monitoring device reads the address to be transmitted for the packet transmitted on the transmission line and compares it with the data in the address table. The packet having no correspondence possible for reception is made ineffective. Since the monitoring device monitors the address to be transmitted in the packet only, the monitoring device makes normal operation independently of the content of the packet.
