Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide parts for cast production fabricated by wet-type paper-making method, which exhibit suppression in thermal shrinkage caused by thermal decomposition and can compose runner systems or the like, corresponding to cavity profiles of a variety of molds, with an excellent operability. SOLUTION: The parts contain organic fibers, inorganic fibers and binders. The preferable content of the organic fiber is 10-70 pts.wt. that of the inorganic fiber is 1-80 pts.wt. and that of the binder is 10-85 pts.wt. A desirable binder is an organic one. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold and a structural body for producing a casting, having good formability and light weight and sufficient hot-strength and shape-holding property at the casting time and excellent surface smoothness of the casting and excellent removability after casting.
SOLUTION: This mold and structural body includes an organic fiber, an inorganic fiber and a thermosetting resin. It is desirable that the above organic fiber is a paper fiber and the above inorganic fiber is a carbon fiber and the above thermosetting resin is a phenolic resin. A blending ratio of the above organic fiber, inorganic fiber and thermosetting resin is desirably 10-70/1-80/10-70 (weight ratio).

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the manufacturing cycle period of time by injecting a pulp slurry in a cavity after inserting an insertion member, which reduces the volume in the cavity, into the cavity when a pulp molded article is manufactured. SOLUTION: When this pulp molded article is manufactured, first, an insertion member 7 is inserted into a cavity 4 through a mouth section 6 of a die 1 comprising split dies 2 and 3. The insertion member 7 is equipped with a core 8 and a bag-form covering member 9, and the core 8 and the covering member 9 are fixed to a fixing plate 11. Then, a pressurized fluid is fed into the covering member 9 from a pressurized fluid feeding source, and the covering member 9 is preliminarily expanded to a specified size. Then, a pulp slurry is injected in the cavity 4 from an injection section 12 of the fixing plate 11, and the pulp fiber is accumulated on the internal surface of the cavity 4, and thus, a pulp layer 13 is formed. Then, a sucking and a dehydrating for the inside of the cavity 4 are performed. Continuously, the pressurized fluid is further fed in the covering member 9, and by the expanded covering member 9, the pulp layer 13 is pressed to the internal surface of the cavity 4.
