Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a rise in a suction temperature, moreover an increase in a discharge temperature and protect a motor shaft from burning and a bearing from seizing by forming a ring-shaped refrigerant circuit which connects outdoor equipment with a plurality of indoor equipment consisting of an indoor side expansion valve and an indoor side heat exchanger and installing a radiation mechanism on the way of a high gas pressure bypass line. CONSTITUTION:When the horse power of indoor equipment is smaller than that of outdoor equipment, the circulation amount of refrigerant is increased excessively compared with the functional power of the indoor equipment, which lowers the suction pressure and generates frost, thereby degrading a cooling power. To comply with this, a high pressure gas bypass valve 3 is opened so that high temperature and high pressure discharge gas may be partially radiated by way of a heat exchanger 18 for high pressure gas bypass, allowing the discharged heat to be bypassed to the suction side as low temperature and high pressure gas. During heating operation, the circulation amount of refrigerant is too excessive against the functional power of the indoor equipment, which increases the discharge pressure excessively. To comply with this, the high pressure gas bypass valve 3 is opened so that the high temperature and high pressure discharge may be partially radiated by way of the heat exchanger 18 for high pressure gas bypass, allowing the discharged gas to be bypassed to the suction side as the low temperature and high pressure gas. This construction makes it possible to prevent the suction gas from being heated excessively and inhibit a rise in the suction temperature, and further an increase in the discharge temperature.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To get a complete liquid phase refrigerant before an indoor side expansion valve and prevent a reduction in capability by a method wherein the degree of opening of an indoor expansion valve of an indoor one for an indoor device located at a lower position is set lower than a degree of opening of an indoor side expansion valve of an indoor device mounted at a higher position. CONSTITUTION:Since an indoor device 7a is mounted at a position higher than an indoor device 7b by about 10m, refrigerant before an indoor side expansion valve 14 shows a pressure drop of a height difference of water column of 10m. At a valve degree of opening correction means 20 of the indoor device 7b, a throttling amount (S) of the expansion valve by about a height difference of 10m is calculated and a degree of opening of the indoor side expansion valve 16 is always set to be low by S than a degree of opening of the indoor side expansion valve 14. Accordingly, since the pressure drop of the height difference is accommodated by S, the condition in the indoor side expansion valve 14 and that of the expansion valve 16 are same from each other and an over-cooling degree is controlled in such a way as the refrigerant state becomes a liquid phase. Accordingly, it can be prevented that a flow are of the indoor device mounted at a higher position is extremely throttled and no capability is outputted.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To shorten a defrosting time and to enhance an amenity by connecting a plurality of indoor units in parallel to an outdoor unit, opening a two way type valve for defrosting, stopping an outdoor fan, and extremely slowly rotating the indoor fan of the indoor unit in which a difference between a indoor temperature and a set temperature is higher than a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of indoor units 8 are connected in parallel to an outdoor unit 1. During a defrosting operation, a two way type valve 12 for defrosting is opened and indoor electric extension valves 9 and an outdoor electric extension valve 6 are opend at a maximum level, and an outdoor fan 7 is stopped. The indoor fan 11 of the indoor unit 8, in which the heating operation is performed and a difference between a indoor temperature and a set temperature is higher than a prescribed value, are extremely slowly rotated and other fans are stopped. The indoor units 8 placed in a room having a heavy indoor beat load continue the heating operation, thereby making it possible to maintain a heating value which is necessary for defrosting. Therefore, it makes possible to shorten a defrosting time, to decrease the drop of the indoor temperature and to enhance an amenity.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable execution of partial heating during cooling operation and to enable execution of partial cooling during heating operation by a method wherein a high and low pressure flow rate regulating valve is located in a high and low pressure bypass circuit bypassing the delivery pipe and the suction pipe of a compressor, and the opening of the high and low pressure flow rate regulating valve is regulated according to the detecting value of a pressure detector. CONSTITUTION:When, during cooling operation, partial heating is effected, a high pressure high temperature refrigerant compressed by a compressor 2 dissipates heat through a four-way valve 3 with the aid of a heat exchanger 5 on the outdoor side for condensation to produce a high pressure liquid refrigerant. The liquid refrigerant is guided to an auxiliary heat exchanger 22 on the indoor side through an expansion valve 4 on the outdoor side and a two-way valve 21. The liquid refrigerant is heat exchanged with indoor air to dissipate heat, and flows through a bypass circuit 26 provided with a flow rate regulating valve 25 bypassing the auxiliary heat exchanger 22 on the indoor side. The pressure thereof is reduced by an expansion valve 23 on the indoor side, and the liquid refrigerant is heat-exchanged with indoor air to absorb heat with the aid of a main heat exchanger 24 on the indoor side for vaporization to produce a low temperature low pressure gas refrigerant, which is returned to the compressor 2. In this case, the opening of a high and low pressure flow rate regulating valve 31 of a high and low pressure bypass circuit bypassing a delivery pipe 29 and a suction pipe 30 of the compressor 2 is regulated according to the detecting pressure value of a pressure detector 32 located in the suction pipe 30 of the compressor 2.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To recover refrigerating machine oil within a refrigeration cycle as a refrigerant by increasing the capability of a variable capability compressor for increasing the degree of refrigerant circulation upon oil recovery operation at each every predetermined time, and setting all the expansion valves to maximum opening, and simultaneously opening a two-way valve. CONSTITUTION:The title air conditioner comprises an outdoor machine 1 including a variable capability compressor 2, a four-way valve 4, an outdoor side heat exchanger 6, an outdoor side electrically operated expansion valve 5, an outdoor side electrically operated expansion valve 5, and parallel two-way valves 16, and a plurality of room machines 7 connected parallely and including a room side heat exchanger 6 and a room side electrically operated expansion valve 8. The air conditioner further includes control means in which in oil recovery operation for recovering refrigerator oil flowing out into a refrigeration cycle the capability of the variable capability compressor 2 is increased, the outdoor side electrically operated expansion valve 5 and all room side electrically operated expansion valves 8 are opened to the maximum degrees of openings thereof, and simultaneously the two-way valve 16 is opened and further the oil recovery operation is performed when operation less than a predetermined capability is continuously performed for a predetermined time. The degree of circulation of the refrigerant is increased to raise the flow rate of the refrigerant in a piping, whereby the refrigerator oil within the refrigeration cycle can be recovered.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable execution of normal stable cooling (heating) operation by adjusting heat exchange capacity on the outdoor side to a value matching the number of running sets and an operation capacity of an indoor machine, by a method wherein two refrigerant flow passages of a heat exchanger on the outdoor side are individually or simultaneously used by means of a total operation capacity of a capacity varying compressor and a number of poles converting compressor, connected in parallel. CONSTITUTION:Two-way valves 18a and 18b are mounted to the inlet and outlet of a heat exchanger A16 on the outdoor side, and two-way valves 19a and 19b are situated to the inlet and outlet of a heat exchanger B17 on the outdoor side. A ratio of a size between the heat exchanger A16 on the outdoor side and the heat exchanger B17 on the outdoor side is 1:2. If a capacity of an outdoor machine 1 is 10HP, the heat exchanger A16 on the outdoor side has a capacity equivalent to 3.3HP and the heat exchanger B17 on the outdoor side a capacity equivalent to 6.7HP. As noted above, by interconnecting in parallel the heat exchanger A16 on the outdoor side and the hat exchanger B17 on the outdoor side, having different capacity from each other, and controlling the two-way valves mounted in the inlet and the outlet of each of the heat exchangers, the two-way valves 18a, 18b, 19a and 19b are opened and closed according to the number or running sets (total number of operation horse power) and the heat exchangers A16 and B17 on the outdoor side are switched, and this method enables execution of stable operation by means of normally proper indoor and outdoor heat exchange capacity. Control is effected by a control means 13 on the outdoor side by means of a compressor running mode.
