Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal insulation foam with excellent physical without affecting the global environment by mixing an org. polyisocyanate, a foam stabilizer, water, a polyether polyol, a specific blowing agent, and a specific catalyst component and allowing the resulting mixture to foam. CONSTITUTION:A thermal insulation foam is obtd. by mixing an org. polyisocyanate (e.g. a polymeric MDI), a foam stabilizer (e.g. F-335, a product of Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.), water, a polyether polyol (e.g. a mixture of an arom.-amine-initiated polyether polyol and an ethylenediamine-initiated polyether polyol), cyclopentane as the blowing agent, and a catalyst component comprising 50wt.% or lower tert-amine resin compsn. and 50wt.% or higher acid-blocked catalyst formed by partially or totally neutralizing the tert-amine resin compsn. with a carboxylic acid (e.g. Kaolizer No.31, a product of Kao Carp.), and then by allowing the resulting mixture to foam.

CONSTITUTION:A thermal insulation foam is obtd. by mixing an org. polyisocyanate (e.g. a polymeric MDI), a foam stabilizer (e.g. F-335, a product of Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd.), a catalyst (e.g. Kaolizer No. 1, a product of Kao Corp.), water, a polyether polyol (e.g. a mixture of an arom.-amine-based polyether polyol and an ethylenediamine-based polyether polyol), and a blowing agent comprising 70-60wt.% cyclopentane and 30-40wt.% at least one hydrocarbon selected from the group consisting of n-pentane, 2-methylbutane, and 2,2- dimethylpropane, and then by the resulting mixture to foam.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title material which does not suffer from a dispersion of density due to, e.g. the separation of a blowing agent, and has a quality equivalent to that of a heat-insulation material prepared by using a conventional halohydrocarbon as the blowing agent even when an aliphatic or cyclic hydrocarbon poorly compatible with a polyol as the raw material of a urethane resin is used as the blowing agent and contributes to the solution of the environmental problem of ozonosphere depletion. CONSTITUTION:The title material is prepared by mixing under agitation polyol component containing at least 5% polyether polyol, obtained by the addition polymerization of a diol or a triol with an alkylene oxide, with an organic polyisocyanate, a foam stabilizer, a catalyst and a blowing agent consisting of at least an aliphatic or cyclic hydrocarbon of a boiling point of 80 deg.C or below, and the heat-insulation box is prepared by packing the heat-insulation material into the space between the inner and outer boxes by in-situ foaming.

Downstream end of the cut-and-raised portions 3 of the fins 7 are bent in such a manner that they are placed at a substantial central part between the adjoining cut-and-raised portions of the fins at the air downstream end.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a heat exchanger of a high performance without increasing any increasing of aeration resistance caused by accumulation of liquid droplets by a method wherein fins of rows of air flowing part are processed with water repellent finishing and fins of rows of air flowing-out side are processed with a hydrophilic processing. CONSTITUTION:Since humidity of an air flow A flowing from an air upstream side of a heat exchanger is higher than an evaporating temperature of refrigerant flowing within the heat exchanger, it is dehumidified and the fin surfaces or fin collar parts around the heat transfer pipes are lowered to a value less than a dew formation point of the air stream A, resulting in that a dew formation water 9 is generated. In this case, since the superior water repellent finishing is applied to the fins of the fin group 7 at the flowing-in side of the air stream A, the dew formation water 9 is held at its liquid droplet form. A time until the dew formation water reaches its iced state can be extended. Since the fins in the fin group 8 of the rows of the discharging side of the air stream A are processed with a hydrophilic processing, the dew formation water 9 moved to the discharging side with the air stream is contacted with fin ends of the rows of the air stream flowing-out part, expanded on the surfaces of the fins of the rows in the air stream flowing part and so the aeration resistance is not increased. Accordingly, the dew formation water moved to the flowing-out side is not held at a clearance between the fin group of the rows of the air stream and the fins of the air stream flowing-out side and thus an aeration resistance is not increased.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce a decrease in room heating capacity of a heat pump by forming protrusions each having specific height and height/diameter on the surface of water repellent film having specific value or more of a contact angle with water on the surface of metal. CONSTITUTION:An aluminum fin is covered with a water repellent film having 90 deg. or more of a contact angle with water, and micro protrusions each having 0.2mum or more of height and 0.1 or more of height/diameter are formed on the surface of the film to construct a fin material for a heat exchanger. Thus, since water droplets adhered to the surface of the fin has an extremely small contact area with the surface of the fin, its adhering force is largely reduced, and micro water droplets each having about 1.0mm of diameter can be dropped. For example, a film of polyethylene tetrafluoride resin having 115 deg. of water contact angle is provided on an aluminum alloy fin, and protrusion shape having the above height and the height/diameter can be formed by mechanical polishing. As water repellent film on the surface may be a coating of silicone resin, ethylene tetrafluoride chloride, etc., or in order to form the protrusions on the surface, sputter etching, shot blasting, etc., may be employed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce a fin material for a heat exchanger having superior water repellency by forming a carbon film on a metal sheet and fluorinating the surface of the carbon film with a gaseous fluorine-contg. monomer to form a carbon fluoride layer. CONSTITUTION:A carbon film 2 is formed on a metal sheet as a fin material 1 by a plasma process or other process and the surface of the carbon film 2 is fluorinated with a gaseous fluorine-contg. monomer such as CF4 to form a carbon fluoride layer 3. A fin material allowing drops of water condensed on the surfaces of fins to fall down even when the interval between the fins is as narrow as about 2mm is obtd. This fin material is suitable for a heat exchanger.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance the surface water repellency of a fin and to allow fine condensed waterdrop to fall down by providing a plasma polymerization film by polymerizing a cyclic fluoro-compound using discharge power of 150W or less. CONSTITUTION:A cyclic fluoro-compound is used and polymerized using plasma discharge power of 150W or less to form a fluorine type plasma polymerization film. Since this fin material for a heat exchanger is prevented from the formation of a hydrophilic group due to hydrogen and has many CF3-bonds on the surface thereof, the surface water repellency of a fin is enhanced and a fine condensed waterdrop can be allowed to fall down.
