Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a sensor part by providing a sensor for detecting both the presence of paper and the rotational position of an auxiliary roller. CONSTITUTION:When all the documents are fed to a read part, a pressing plate 26 abuts on a transfer surface 33, and also the terminal 36 of a switch 35 abuts on a switching cam surface 34. In this condition, however, the terminal 36 is in such a condition that it has been arranged in a higher position by the cam surface 34, and the switch 35 is maintained in the ON state. When an auxiliary roller 31 is further turned in the direction Y, the terminal 36 is brought into contact with the flattened part of the cam surface 34. In this condition, the terminal 36 is arranged in a lower position, and the detecting switch 35 is turned into the OFF state. Thus, it is detected that all the originals have been transferred, and that the auxiliary roller 31 is not projected above from a table 1a. When the switch 35 is turned into the OFF state, the driving of a shaft 22 and 23 is stopped, and the initial condition is regained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of the size cutting of the picture, etc., due to a calculating mistake by providing a control means to calculate the projecting magnification of an image in accordance with a detecting signal outputted from an original size detecting means and recording paper size detecting means. CONSTITUTION:When the hand supply is discriminated, in the recording paper size detecting means 35, the size of the recording paper is detected and the value is outputted to the control means 36. In the control means 36, the projecting magnification of the image is calculated based upon the recording paper size outputted from the recording paper size detecting means 35 and paper feeding cassettes 18 and 19 and the original size outputted from the original size detecting means 30. Thereafter, from the control means 36 to a lens 8, the control signal is outputted, the magnification of the lens 8 is set, and in accordance with the magnification, the copying action forming the picture at the recording paper is started. Thus, without generating the size cutting of the picture, the suitable picture can be easily formed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To detect original size with simple constitution by arranging plural pairs of conductors adjacently each other on prescribed positions of an original cover, applying a high voltage between each pair of conductors and detecting the voltage change of one conductor of each pair. CONSTITUTION:When a power supply switch is turned on and a copying machine is turned to an operating state, a DC high voltage is applied to each pair of conductors 7a, 7b. Thereby, output signals from both amplifiers 10, 12 are equal when an original is not adsorbed by the original cover 3, and under the adsorbed state, an output signal from the amplifier 10 is increased. Therefore, whether the original is adsorbed or not can be discriminated by a microcomputer 14 on the basis of a compared output signal from a comparator 13 which is decided by the difference between the output signals of both the amplifiers 10, 12. When the original is in the adsorbed state, the size of the adsorbed original can be detected by the compared output signals from plural comparators 13.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To aim at preventing a paper jam during invert discharge of paper sheets and at also preventing an ink paper sheet from being wasted during normal discharge of the paper sheets, by setting the peripheral speed of an inverting and discharging roller to be higher than that of a paper discharge roller in accordance with the length of an added inverting path so that the discharging time of the paper sheet upon normal discharge is made to be equal to that upon invert discharge. CONSTITUTION:In order to perform the invert discharge of a recording paper sheet, an inverting and discharging device 20 is mounted on the paper discharge section of a thermal printer instead of a guide unit, and therefore, the recording paper is fed onto an inverting path B after passing through a discharging path A. In this arrangement the conveying force of an inverting and discharging roller 24 for the recording paper sheet is set such that it is greater than that of a paper discharge roller 15 but is less than the carriage force of a platen roller 9 so that the recording paper sheet is discharged by means of the roller 24 when the trailing end of the recording paper sheet has passed through between a thermal head 6 and the roller 9 after the leading end of the recording paper sheet reaches the roller 24. Thus, the time for invert discharge is made equal to that for the normal discharge, thereby, it is possible to prevent a paper jam due to a lack of the time for the invert discharge in the device 20, and to prevent an ink sheet from being wasted due to excessive a normal discharge time.
