    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for crystallizing an aliphatic polyester in which easy and continuous crystallization can be achieved without causing problems such as fusion of the resin particles by bringing the aliphatic polyester into contact with an aqueous alkaline solution when it is crystallized, and subsequent solid phase polymerization makes it possible to efficiently produce a high-molecular weight aliphatic polyester with less discoloration, which has not been achievable by prior art techniques.
    SOLUTION: The method for crystallizing an aliphatic polyester comprises crystallizing the aliphatic polyester by bringing it into contact with an aqueous alkaline solution of pH≥8, wherein the aliphatic polyester is preferably a polymer of an aliphatic hydroxy carboxylic acid.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing polymaleimide powder having reduced acid content that is useful as a structural material with industrial advantage.
