Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provided techniques that may be applied in systems to allow for communication over a control channel utilizing a relatively narrowband (e.g., six physical resource blocks) based search space. An exemplary method, performed, for example, by a machine type communication (MTC) UE, generally includes identifying, within a subframe, a first search space to monitor for a control channel that occupies a first number of physical resource blocks (PRBs) that represents a narrowband within a system bandwidth comprising a plurality of narrowbands and monitoring at least the first search space for the control channel, wherein the control channel comprises broadcast control information.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for providing periodic CSI reports and/or aperiodic CSI reports to provide CSI for both anchor and non-anchor TDD subframes in eIMTA. Periodic CSI reports may be provided based on a reference configuration, and aperiodic CSI reports may be provided based on a time of reception of a CSI request and a reference configuration. A UE may determine to report anchor or non-anchor CSI through explicit or implicit signaling. Aperiodic CSI may be used for transmission of anchor subframe CSI reports and periodic CSI may be used for transmission of non-anchor subframe CSI reports, or aperiodic CSI may be used for transmission of non-anchor subframe CSI reports and periodic CSI may be used for transmission of anchor subframe CSI reports. Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may transmit a sounding reference signal (SRS) on a component carrier (CC) that is otherwise configured for downlink communications. Due to a carrier aggregation configuration or UE capability, the UE may need to retune certain components to transmit on the CC. If the SRS transmission, including the retuning time, collides with another transmission (e.g., in uplink or downlink) the UE may drop the SRS, drop the other transmission, or puncture the other transmission to facilitate the SRS transmission. The determination about a collision may depend on the retuning time, channel, or type of control information in the other transmission. In some cases, a UE may drop the other transmission if transmitting the SRS would prevent the UE from transmitting a demodulation reference signal, hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback. In some cases, the determination may be based upon a prioritization and may also depend on a subsequent subframe.

Prior to transmitting a SRS, a UE may interrupt communication on a first carrier to switch from the first carrier to a second carrier to transmit a PRACH. To reduce interruption to the first carrier, the UE may use the beginning symbol(s) of a UpPTS on the second carrier to transmit the PRACH. In addition, to reduce interruption to the first carrier, the UE may monitor for another PDCCH order before transmitting another PRACH. Further, aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques and apparatus for jointly triggering SRS transmissions and performing power control for SRS transmissions. A BS may trigger SRS transmissions from multiple UEs, trigger SRS transmissions from multiple carriers from the same UE at the same time and/or perform power control separately for each carrier.
