    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for providing periodic CSI reports and/or aperiodic CSI reports to provide CSI for both anchor and non-anchor TDD subframes in eIMTA. Periodic CSI reports may be provided based on a reference configuration, and aperiodic CSI reports may be provided based on a time of reception of a CSI request and a reference configuration. A UE may determine to report anchor or non-anchor CSI through explicit or implicit signaling. Aperiodic CSI may be used for transmission of anchor subframe CSI reports and periodic CSI may be used for transmission of non-anchor subframe CSI reports, or aperiodic CSI may be used for transmission of non-anchor subframe CSI reports and periodic CSI may be used for transmission of anchor subframe CSI reports. A user equipment (UE) may experience an RLF event and lose connectivity with a network. After the UE reestablish a radio resource control (RRC) connection with the network, the UE may transmit an RLF report that include information about directional beams, information about a master node and a secondary node in a dual-connectivity procedure, information associated conditional handover procedures, or information about service time interruptions, or a combination thereof. One or more base stations may be configured to transmit at least portions of the information in the RLF report to other base stations as part of a message that may be an example of an RLF indication or a handover report. The message may be transmitted over an X2 interface or an Xn interface.

In response to a serving beam failure in an active bandwidth part, the UE may determine a level of support provided by the active bandwidth part for a random access procedure, and may determine a contingency (e.g. fallback) bandwidth part that supports the random access procedure. In some cases, the UE may identify the contingency bandwidth as an initial bandwidth part used by the UE for a prior random access procedure. In some cases, the UE may identify the contingency bandwidth part based on a reference signal. Upon determining the contingency bandwidth part, the UE may perform the random access procedure using the contingency bandwidth part.

    Abstract: NPRACH suffers from false alarms in which a base station detects and cannot distinguish an NPRACH signal that is intended for a different base station. An NPRACH may include a cell specific frequency shift pattern over repetitions and/or a repetition level scrambling sequence that enables a base station to more accurately detect NPRACH. An apparatus generates an NPRACH signal comprising multiple repetitions, wherein each repetition comprises multiple symbol groups. The apparatus may apply a different frequency shift between repetitions of the NPRACH signal. The frequency shift may comprise a cell specific random frequency shift pattern applied over each repetition. The apparatus may apply a repetition level scrambling sequence to the NPRACH signal, wherein a single scrambling sequence is applied to a set of repetitions comprised in the NPRACH signal. The apparatus transmits the NPRACH to a serving cell.
