Abstract: The invention relates to a glazing (1) with improved vibro-acoustic damping properties, that comprises at least one glass sheet (10) and at least one vibro-acoustic damping profile (2) connected by at least one face thereof to the glass sheet and including at least one member of a damping material (20) having a loss factor at least equal to 0.4 and a Young modulus lower than 200 MPa at 20°C for frequencies lower than 5000 Hz. The profile (2) also includes a weighing member (3) having a lineic mass higher than 0.05 kg/m and connected to the member made of a damping material (20), the member made of a damping material being provided between the glass sheet and the weighing member, and no other device except the glazing is associated with the profile.

The face of the strip facing the glass sheet has a surface area in contact with the glass sheet which is strictly inferior to the surface area of the face of the strip facing the glass sheet. The glazing unit makes it possible to damp noise and vibrations while taking up little space.
