    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the sharpness of audio signals in a hearing aid or the like. SOLUTION: Filters 12A-12C are provided for dividing the inputted audio signal into respective formant components. Nonlinear circuits 13A-13C are provided for respectively supplying the outputs of the filters 12A-12C. An adder circuit 15 is provided for resynthesizing the output signals of the nonlinear circuits 13A-13C into audio signal and outputting it. The nonlinear circuits 13A-13C have a level compression range and a level extension range in their input/output characteristics. The level compression range is set to the level range of the inputted audio signal and the level extension range is set to an input level range smaller than the level compression range. The nonlinear circuits 13A-13C perform the limitation of output levels within the input level range larger than the level compression range.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit the output sound of a hearing aid to the ear of a checker with fidelity and to secure the safety of the checker by correcting the frequency characteristic of sonic waves to be supplied to the external auditory canal of the checker through an equalizer means. SOLUTION: A sound collecting part 10 collects the output sounds from the earphone of the hearing aid, converts them to an audio signal, and outputs it. A signal processing circuit 20 processes the audio signal from the sound collecting part 10. This amplitude limited audio signal is supplied through a variable resistor 23 for volume adjustment to an equalizer circuit 24, and the equalizing-processed audio signal is supplied through an output amplifier 25 to an earphone part 30. The earphone part 30 converts the audio signal from the amplifier 25 into acoustics and supplies them to the ear of checker of the hearing aid by planar-wave propagation. Thus, the confirmation or check of operating state or adjusted state of the hearing aid or the confirmation of sound quality is performed exactly. Further, the sense for hearing of the checker is protected surely.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To emphasize a high frequency component required for linguistic recognition by a speech and enable excellent speech recognition by emphasizing and outputting a 1st and a 2nd formant component. CONSTITUTION:A speech signal containing a pitch frequency component extracted by a band-pass filter 11 is supplied to a speech processing circuit 30 and a speech signal containing the 1st formant component extracted by a band-pass filter 12 is supplied to a speech processing circuit 40; and a speech signal containing the 2nd formant component extracted by a band-pass filter 13 is supplied to a speech processing circuit 50 and a speech signal containing a consonant component extracted by a band-pass filter 14 is supplied to a speech processing circuit 60. Those circuits 30-60 emphasize principal components in corresponding bands and also attenuate noise components. Then they are added by an adder 7 after being passed through band-pass filters 21-24 to put the respective bands together and the resulting signal is supplied to a speech signal output terminal 8. Consequently, proper emphasis processing and nose removing processing is performed by components constituting the speech and a speech signal which enables the speech language to excellently be recognized is obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the degree of clearness from being lowered by suppressing an amplitude for a prescribed time before a time point when the vowel block of a voice signal compressed in the amplitude level is finished. CONSTITUTION:A voice analysis part 2 detects the vowel block of the digital voice signal compressed with the amplitude level with a linear predictive analysis method or a PARCOR analysis method, detects the end of the vowel block and outputs an end detecting signal. On the other hand, the digital voice signal is stored in a voice memory 4 as it is. When a CPU 3 receives the end detecting signal from the analysis part 2, voice data in the memory 4 are read out, a control for decreasing the amplitude or turning it to '0' is performed for (t) milli-seconds before the end of the vowel block, and a voice control command signal is outputted to a D/A converter 5 later. This signal is converted to an analog signal by the converter 5 and outputted from a voice output signal 6 as a completely processed regenerative voice signal. Thus, the degree of voice clearness can be prevented from being lowered.

The other end of the acoustic tube 1 is formed with the non-reflection end and formed so that it has the same inner diameter as that W and has more or less a longer length. The acoustic resistance tube 6 is formed so that its one end opposite to the side of the speaker unit is open and that it has a more or less longer length.

Thus, the sense of a normal position inside the head and the generation of the compressive feeling can be prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To promptly and high-accurately detect the change of the direction of the head part of a listener by calculating the above-mentioned change based on the input signal of a detecting electromagnetic wave signal to be outputted from a detecting sound source device and the phase difference between the output signals of a pair of microphones to be arranged for two parts in the head part to pick up a detecting acoustic signal. CONSTITUTION:Microphones 3 and 4 are arranged for mutually separated two parts in a headphone device 2. An ultrasonic signal is supplied from an ultrasonic oscillating source 8 through the first modulating device 9 to a speaker 6 of a detecting sound source device 5 positioned at a separate position from the listener, and the speaker 6 outputs the detecting acoustic signal. Further, a prescribed frequency signal is supplied from an electromagnetic wave signal oscillating source 11 through the second modulating device 12 to a transmitter 7, and the transmitter 7 transmits the detecting electromagnetic wave signal. The change of the direction of the head part is calculated by an arithmetic unit 13 based on the output signal of a receiving device 21 to receive the detecting electromagnetic wave signal and the phase difference between the output signals of a pair of microphones 3 and 4 to pick up the detecting acoustic signal, and the acoustic signals of a left channel and a right channel are processed by an acoustic processor 26 based on transmission characteristics corresponding to the calculated direction of the head part.
