    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a film having excellent quality in high productivity by melting a polyester resin containing metallic elements and a phosphorus element in a ratio in a specified range, extruding the melt from a slit die to form a molten sheet and cooling the molten sheet by insertion into between a charging roll and a cooling medium to adhere a solid film on the cooling medium. SOLUTION: A polyester resin containing metallic elements and a phosphorus element in ratio represented by the formula is melted, and extruded from a slit die to form a molten sheet. The molten sheet is inserted into between a smooth-surfaced charging roll having an applied voltage of 100 V to 10 kV and a cooling medium such as a drum with a hard chromium-plated surface and an inside through which cooling water is circulated to adhere the sheet to the cooling medium to obtain a film. If required, the film is heated to the glass transition point to effect elongation and heat treatment. In the formula, (m), N, L, and P are the number of moles of the alkali metal atoms the number of moles of the alkaline earth metal atoms, the number of moles of a metallic element selected from among Mn, Co, and Zn, and the number of moles of phosphorus element per ton of the polyester resin, respectively.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the accumulation of impurities and foreign matter on a surface layer surface to more efficiently draw a thermoplastic resin film by forming a photocatalyst layer as the surface layer of a roll. SOLUTION: As the roll material, ceramics is preferably used. The photocatalyst layer consists of, for example, an oxide of transition metal, preferably, titanium oxide and, particularly, anatase type is used of the crystal system of titanium oxide. A sol solution of this titanium oxide and a binder is sprayed to a roll material, baked and fixed to form a compound having photocatalyst function on the roll surface as the sealant for a dent or hole on ceramic surface. When a film forming is performed by use of this roll, not only the washing of the roll can be dispensed with to improve the productivity, but a film having no surface defect in the film physical property after biaxial, drawing and excellent in thickness uniformity can be provided.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve battery performance and improve reliability when used for a battery or capacitor by using a porous film of which thickness of a layer is less than a specified value. SOLUTION: A porous film thickness of a layer is less than 15 microns. Polyethylene, polkypropylene or the like is employed as a porous film and is preferred as a polymeric compound. A separator is composed of porous films of same or different two or more kinds. A break elongation percentage in widthwise direction of the porous film of one layer is preferred to be 20% or more, and thereby, breakage during manufacture or use of the film or internal shorting due to expansion of pore diameter can be avoided. Thickness of one porous film is very thin, and poor in filming properties and handling properties. Therefore, a film slit by being bonded to a carrier is released from the carrier, is wound with positive and negative electrodes immediately after the release, and the separator is manufactured.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a film having a magnetic signal optimal for preventing forgery by magnetizing the film containing a magnetic body by a constant magnetic field to output a peak magnetic signal in a specified range per unit length on the surface of the film. SOLUTION: A magnetic body is contained in a polyester film excellent in strength and dimensional stability at a rate of 0.01-30 wt.%. The film thus obtained is magnetized by a constant magnetic field to output peak magnetic signals ranging from 1 to 500 per 1 cm of the length of the film and the film can be scanned by an audio magnetic head to detect the magnetic signals with the output thereof higher than noises. With the interval and an output value thereof made at random, the peak magnetic signals are made favorable for the prevention of forgery and specifically, to obtain the peak magnetic signals, a magnetic body with a width of 5-500 μm or an assembly thereof is dispersed into the film in the direction of the surface thereof. moreover, a complicated output can be obtained by dispersing the magnetic body at random or, distributing it unevenly across the thickness of the film.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a nonwoven fabric having air permeability and thermal adhesiveness by bonding a thermoplastic resin film melted at low temp. as compared with fibers on the outermost surface fibers of a nonwoven fabric and providing holes constituting sides by a plurality of monofilaments having a coating films. SOLUTION: A coating film 2 composed of a thermoplastic resin is bonded on fibers 1 positioned on the uppermost surface of at least the single surface of a nonwoven fabric and holes 3 are at least present between a plurality of monofilaments having a coating film. It is necessary that a thermoplastic resin is melted at a low temp. as compared with fibers constituting the nonwoven fabric and the m.p. of the thermoplastic resin is pref. lower than that of the nonwoven fabric fibers 1 by 10 deg.C or higher. The air permeable thermally adhesive nonwoven fabric is thermally bonded within a temp. range from the m.p. of a thermoplastic resin to the m.p. of the nonwoven fabric fibers 1 and, therefore, thermal adhesion is more easily performed when the difference between the melting points of both of theme is larger. The m.p. of the thermoplastic resin is pref. 100 deg.C or higher from an aspect of thermal bonding strength at a high temp.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a liquid leak preventive material for a long time by prevention of being steamed by a method wherein the liquid leak preventive material is a laminate of a non-porous thermoplastic resin film and a nonwoven fabric, and its water vapor permeability is made at least a specific value. SOLUTION: This absorptive article is composed of a face material which permeates at least a liquid, an absorptive layer absorbing the liquid, and a liquid leak preventive material. A thermoplastic resin, for example, a polyester is made into a non-porous film by a melt extrusion method, and the polyester film is laminated on nonwoven fabric by thermal adhesion. The liquid leak preventive material is obtained by biaxial extrusion thereafter. Water vapor permeability of the liquid preventive material is at least 1000g/(m .day). When the water vapor permeability is under this value, being steamed in use for a long time is caused thereby. Further, though the water paper permeability can be increased by thinning a thickness of the film part, when it is excessively increased, water resistance is deteriorated, and its use for a long time comes to be interfered therewith.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the abrasion resistance during film formation and enable the repeated use of the resulting film by compounding a thermoplastic polyester resin with aluminum oxide contg. an element of the group VIII of the periodic table. CONSTITUTION:The compsn. comprises 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic polyester formable into film and 0.01-30 pts.wt. at least one kind of aluminum oxide powder selected from the group consisting of alpha, gamma, delta, and theta polymorphs, contg. 0.0001-5wt.% at least one element of the group VIII of the long-form periodic table, and having a specific surface area of 10m /g or higher and a secondary particle size of 0.01-2.0mum and is produced by adding the aluminum oxide to the reaction system for producing the polyester or by mixing the oxide into the polyester in a molten state. Pellets of the compsn. are dried enough, fed to an extruder to be melted at 260-350 deg.C, extruded into a film, cooled, and solidified to give an unoriented film, which is biaxially oriented and thermally treatred at 150-260 deg.C for 0.1-60sec, giving a biaxially oriented polyester film. At least one layer of the oriented film is laminated to give a laminated film.
