    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a false twisted spun yarn having a high tenacity without slipping off of fibers, by vibrating a fibrous bundle in a false twisted state with ballooning. CONSTITUTION:A staple fibrous bundle in an opened state delivered from a drafting zone is false twisted by a false twisting apparatus 8, and staple groups in the central part of the bundle are mainly changed into a false twisted state. At least one end of fibers in at least part of staple fiber groups in the peripheral part of the fibrous bundle is made into an unrestricted state to give a false twisted spun yarn in which peripheral staple fibers each having at least one end in an unrestricted state are wound around the fibrous bundle in a false twisted state. In the process, the fibrous bundle 4 in a false twisted state is vibrated by ballooning with friction false twisting pegs 12 and 12'. According to the method, the spinning step is stabilized and the yarn unevenness, particularly variation coefficient of tenacity, is greatly reduced.
