Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert a singing voice to have a waveform similar to that of the voice of an original singer. SOLUTION: A singing voice signal is converted into a waveform data at an A/D converter 30, and the data is inputted to a waveform cutting part 31, where the waveform data of two waves of waveform is cut out at a human window, and outputted to a compression/expansion part 32. The compression/ expansion part 32 shortens the cut waveform data by 20% on a time base at the time of converting a make voice to a female, and lengthens it by 20% at the time of converting a female voice to a male voice. A repetition waveform synthesizing part 33 arranges the cut waveforms with an interval of half of the original wave period and increases the basic frequency of synthesized waveform data by octave at the time of converting a male voice to a female voice, and arranges the cut waveforms with an interval of two times of the original wave period and decreases the basic frequency of synthesized waveform data by octave at the time of converting a female voice to a male voice. This synthesized waveform data is inputted to a filter 34 to pass through the filter 34 which is a simulator of a voice path and a resonator of an original signer, and the singing voice can be made similar to the voice of an original singer.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make automatically switchable a conversion mode according to the kinds of music and the sex of a singer when voice conversion between the voices of man and woman is performed by comparing the judging result of a voice analyzing means with the sex of the vocal of the music and specifying the direction of the voice conversion according to the comparison result. SOLUTION: When a user instructs for a voice conversion mode in a KARAOKE performance, the input voice of a male single is analyzed by a voice analysis part 321 and its interval is compared with 1st and 2nd threshold values PH and PL. Here, when the input voice is a low-tone voice typical of a male, its interval is lower than the 2nd threshold value PL, so it is decided that the singer is a male. A parameter part 323 compares the sex decision results of both a sex decision part 322 and the voice analysis part 321 and from this comparison result, it is recognized that the man is singing the music of a female vocal. Consequently, the sex conversion mode from the man to the woman is specified to a voice change part 324.
