Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a height-adjusting structure of a hitting plate for use in gymnasiums, which is installed on the surface of the ceiling of gymnasiums with the hitting plate suspended therefrom using wires. The height-adjusting structure of a hitting plate is configured to be capable of facilitating the height-adjustment of the hitting plate for use in kicking, punching and the like when the hitting plate is lifted or lowered, and minimizing the displacement of the hitting plate.
Abstract:
Assembly of sports equipment fillable with liquid and a gel-forming means, and sports equipment for use in this assembly. Article of sports equipment fillable with liquid such as a punch-bag. A punch-bag which comes from the factory ready for use takes up much space, is relatively heavy and is easily damaged in handling during transport. According to the invention the punch-bag is supplied to the user as assembly of the empty punch-bag (1) and a gel-forming means. The punch-bag (1) can then be supplied in empty state (small volume, low weight). After purchase the user can fill the punch-bag with water, to which the gel-forming means is added so that the punch-bag acquires the desired striking properties, in particular sloshing of the water during use is prevented in this way.
Abstract:
A boxing or martial arts training and exercise device may include punching pads locationally displaced on a frame. Respective pads may be positioned in support on the frame for punching and kicking. Each pad can communicatively connect to one or more impact sensor. Each impact sensor can communicatively connect to a control unit. The control unit may be communicatively connected to a display. The impact sensor detects strikes to the pad. The impact sensor includes an accelerometer and a signal processor. The control unit includes an aggregator for receiving and logging strike metrics. The control unit directs sequences in the display according to a routine, and delivers indicators of strike metrics. The control unit includes a user interface for selection among sequences, as well as for selection of various menu items. A video of a human instructor or an animated avatar is viewable in a display.
Abstract:
A training apparatus 2 including a mannequin 4, for being struck by a person training for fighting, the apparatus comprising a support structure 6 for supporting the mannequin, the mannequin including a head 16, a torso, two arms 76 (having upper and lower arms) and two legs 10, and having joints at the shoulders 50, hips 56, knees 54 and elbows 52, wherein the joints at the shoulders are configured to variably adjust and fix the position of the upper arms relative to the torso in at least two orthogonal planes, and the joints at the elbows are configured to variably adjust and fix the position of the lower arms relative to the upper arms in at least one plane, the apparatus including ankle attachment means for removably attaching the ankles to the support structure.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a suspension system for heavy sports equipment that reduces the shock and noise transmitted by an impact delivered thereto. The disclosure provides for connective devices to secure the suspension system to the heavy sporting good equipment and to secure it to a mounting point. In one embodiment, the heavy sporting good equipment comprises a heavy bag.
Abstract:
A portable doorway recreation device for use on a doorway frame comprises an L-shaped frame. A first horizontal elongate bar is attached to a riser of the L-shaped frame and a second horizontal elongate bar is attached to a base of the L-shaped frame. A securing member is operatively associated with the second elongate bar, wherein with the first elongate bar sitting on a top of the doorway frame on a first wall side and the second elongate bar in contact with a second wall side, the securing member engages one of the first and second wall sides to prevent movement of the second elongate bar away from the second wall side.
Abstract:
A mounting bracket and dampening assembly for mounting a heavy bag, a first portion of the mounting bracket mounted horizontally in relation to mounting surface, a second portion of the mounting bracket depending downwardly forming a support surface for a securing means for supporting the heavy bag in combination with a dampening means in the form of upper and lower bushings in combination with a rod and spring assembly to lessen the transmission of stress, shock and vibration and to reduce the motion, both lateral and vertical, of the heavy bag.
Abstract:
A liquid- fillable heavy training bag includes a cylindrical flexible outer shell having top and bottom walls to form a generally closed cylindrical inner surface. Suitable support is provided for suspending the cylindrical outer shell from an upper support member, such as a ceiling. A generally cylindrical liquid-impermeable flexible liner is provided within the outer shell for receiving and containing a liquid medium such as water. The liner is configured and dimensioned to generally conform to the shape of the inner surface of the outer shell when the liner is fully expanded, such as when filled with water. An intermediate layer is provided made of compressible material and arranged between and contacting the outer shell and the liner when the liner is filled with liquid. The intermediate layer forms a cushion for absorbing external impacts to the outer shell and absorbs and attenuates shock waves imparted to the liquid medium within the liner to protect the liner and better simulate the feel of a conventional, non-liquid filled heavy bag.
Abstract:
Antitrauma shock-absorber anatomic match cushion-bag stimulator of technical gesture, conformed according to an ergonomic geometric figure, including facets respectively representative of corresponding areas of the body of an opponent boxer, and reflecting the impact angle of a knock thereupon; in such a way as to unload the impact in a substantially perfect manner onto all the osteo-articular structure actually involved in the impact.
Abstract:
A sports training system includes a supporting structure, a first moving element supported by the supporting structure so as to be moveable relative to the supporting structure along a first path, a second moving element supported by the first moving element so as to be moveable relative to the first moving element along a second path different from the first path, and a punching bag suspended below the first moving element by the second moving element. The punching bag is moveable to any point within an area defined by the first and second paths when a trainee strikes the punching bag, thereby mimicking movements of an opponent. One or more elastic elements can be attached between the punching bag and the supporting structure for returning the punching bag to a desired region within the area.
