A high pressure tank, for containing fluid under pressure of the type comprising an internal shell (3) intended to act as a seal and an external shell (4) intended to provide mechanical strength, with the interposition between the two shells of a first cap (5) located on the side forming the bottom and of a second cap (10) located on the side forming the open end of the tank, made in a single piece with a connecting neck (7), is characterized in that the part of the internal shell (3) located on the side forming the open end of the tank (2) is fixed on to the metal piece (6) forming a neck (7) and cap (10) over the entire contact surface (16) between the two components (3, 6), while the outer surface (13) of the cap (10) and part of the exterior surface of the neck (7) are covered by the external shell (4).
Abstract:
The continuous NITROX mixer is a pre-calibrated, continuous flow, gas mix system and a method which combines pure oxygen and air at atmospheric pressure, to create a final mixture of predetermined composition. Constituent gases are regulated to the same pressure and temperature before oxygen is metered through precision micro-metering valves. The system proportions the amounts of each gas and delivers the final mixture to a common mixing chamber. Delivery pressure can be adjusted up to 3000 PSI, making the system suitable for filling SCUBA or storage cylinders.

A pressure relief device for a metal container having a generally cylindrical side wall and being of the type adapted to contain fluids under pressure. The device includes a concave closure element circumferentially joined to one end of the container side wall. The closure element is deep drawn of tempered steel, with a generally convex tab member integrally formed in a central area thereof. The tab member is partially circumscribed by a weakened line of reduced material thickness, and the closure element has a structural integrity which reacts to an overpressurization of the fluid in the container by undergoing a partial eversion which initiates a fracture along the weakened line accompanied by an outward deflection of the tab member, thereby permitting the overpressurized fluid contents to escape through the fracture.

A pressure release device for an internally pressurized fluid container has a dome-shaped inwardly concave closure element circumferentially joined to one end of the tubular container side wall. The closure element is deep drawn of tempered steel, with a circular central area spaced from an annular outer area by an annular intermediate area traversed by radially extending L/u/ ders Lines. A tab member is located in the central area. The tab member is partially circumscribed by a single weakened circular line of reduced material thickness, with the ends of the line being separated by a connecting area of substantially undisturbed material thickness and strength. The closure element has a structural integrity which reacts to an increase in fluid pressure in the container above a prescribed level by undergoing at least a partial eversion extending from the annular outer area, across the annular intermediate area into the circular central area to initiate a fracture of the closure element along the weakened line of reduced material thickness. The connecting area remains intact during any resulting outward deflection of the tab member occasioned by fluid escaping from the container through the fracture.
Abstract:
An apparatus for refrigeration treatment is used in cryomedical treatment for applying gas of extremely low temperature onto an affected portion of a patient. In the flow system of the apparatus, there are a liquefied gas source, a temperature controlled bath and a conduit pipe having a cup at its end to be placed over the affected portion. The bath contains a liquid medium of high specific heat in which are immersed a mixing cylinder and an evaporator which are mutually connected with a plurality of tubes. The liquefied gas supplied from the source to the evaporator is vaporized and flowed through the tubes to the cylinder where the vaporized gas is mixed with a liquefied gas directly supplied from the source at an optimum gas temperature.
