Abstract:
A method for viewing digital still photographs is provided. The method including: inputting at least one digital data file representing a digital still photograph, the at least one digital data file having at least one of a time and location stamp indicating a time when the photograph was taken or a location where the photograph was taken, respectively; displaying the digital still photograph; and altering an ambient characteristic based on at least one of the time and location stamps.
Abstract:
A digital still camera has an image memory (28) storing a plurality of image groups. Each image group includes nine normal images and a reduced image obtained by thinning pixels of each normal image for reduction to 1/9. When a mode pattern (15) is pressed to indicate forward/backward screen-feeding in a nine-screen multi-reproduction mode, a control circuit (35) feeds forwards or backwards nine reduced images displayed on a liquid crystal screen (16) for each group at one time. Images can thus be retrieved more rapidly than in conventional examples which require operating a forward/backward screen-feed button nine times to feed nine reduced images forwards or backwards.
Abstract:
A method is disclosed for selectively adjusting the resolution levels or the quality levels of digital images stored in a memory of a digital camera having a predetermined memory space. The method includes capturing a first image and storing the captured first image at a specific resolution level or quality level. The resolution level or quality level of the stored first image is adjusted based on the available memory space in the digital camera memory so that a subsequent captured image can be stored. A subsequent image is then captured, and the captured subsequent image is stored with the adjusted first image.
Abstract:
An electronic camera is adapted for processing images of different resolution to provide a user selectable image record size. A buffer memory is provided for storing color image pixels from a sensor corresponding to at least one image. Processing responsive to a resolution mode switch controls the order in which color image pixels are selected for output storage in both vertical and horizontal directions. The order selected by the resolution switch includes a full resolution mode, and at least one reduced resolution mode in which the low resolution color image pixels are calculated to exactly replicate the pixel geometry of the original CFA image. This simplifies the image processing for the rest of the imaging chain because the same algorithms can be used regardless of the selected image resolution.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for determining the number of available shots and an image-shooting apparatus. The method includes: determining a current shooting mode; acquiring an average value of a picture size before current shooting in the current shooting mode, where the average value of the picture size is calculated according to storage space occupied by pictures shot before the current shooting in the current shooting mode and the number of the pictures shot before the current shooting in the current shooting mode; and determining, according to currently available storage space and the average value of the picture size, the number of available shots before the current shooting. The technical solution of the present invention determines the number of available shots by using the average value of the picture size calculated according to the storage space occupied by the pictures shot in the current shooting mode and the number of the pictures shot in the current shooting mode, which improves precision of the determined number of available shots.
Abstract:
An image capture device is described which is operable in any one of a number of capture modes. The device comprises a camera, a memory and a processor. The memory stores a plurality of sets of capture triggers, with each set of capture triggers being associated with one of the plurality of capture modes. The processor selects one of the plurality of capture modes, such that the device is operable in the selected capture mode. In the selected capture mode, an image is captured automatically when a capture trigger within the associated set of capture triggers is satisfied.
Abstract:
To simplify the file operation of images recorded as a group of panorama images or the like. A character (ST) showing that it is included in a group, alphanumeric character assigned in order in each group, and characters showing file numbers in order of photographing are used as a file name of images to be recorded and a character showing an image compression method is used as the extension of a file name.
