    Abstract: In a sealed and pressurized housing (10), the TV camera is mounted on a cradle (12) which includes the sealing mechanism for both ends of the housing. Both ends (18,28) are sealed with conventional "O" ring seals (22) and end plates (24,34) which are secured to the cradle. Since pressure is always equalized against both end plates and they are mechanically connected, when the housing is opened, no parts can be dangerously propelled upon release of the pressure. The cradle is also mounted so that, despite the internal pressure, it can be rotated relative to the fixed outer casing in order to adjust the angle of the camera to the horizontal.

    Abstract: A motion detector which compares the video signal from a camera to a camera signal from an earlier scene and produces an alarm signal if an edge of any object has changed its position, but protects against false signals. A phase detector is used to sense movement in only the edges of objects and a vertical coincidence circuit requires object movement in several vertical video lines to prevent false signals from such small items as raindrops. Several adjacent horizontal areas must also show movement in order to activate an alarm.

    Abstract: A vertical phase adjust circuit with high noise immunity for line locked surveillance cameras. To prevent noise from the AC line producing false output signals, a counter is used to lock out the delayed vertical line locked output signal. The horizontal scan frequency is counted from the time a vertical output is produced, and the vertical output signal is prevented until 98 percent of the period between legitimate vertical signals has elapsed. The circuit also includes a lock detect circuit to increase the time window during startup conditions to assure initial synchronization and an increased phase adjust range to permit synchronization with any other camera.

    Abstract: A video signal is pre-conditioned by signal conditioning means (22,32,24,34) to establish a prescribed reference level during image blanking intervals (TB).
