Abstract: A label sheet assembly is disclosed for improving the process of feeding label sheets through a printer. The label sheet includes a facestock layer and a liner sheet. The facestock layer includes an adhesive layer along a first side and include a label surface along a second side opposite the adhesive layer. The label sheet may include a puncture surface feature along a matrix portion of the facestock layer, wherein the puncture surface feature may include a plurality of puncture holes formed in a shape wherein each puncture hole that forms a slightly concave shape along one side and a slightly convex shape along the opposite side. The puncture surface features provides a zone of tactile sensitivity along the label sheet and are configured to reduce off-registration of printed indicia along the at least one label when processed through a printer device.

Abstract: A label having an imprint layer, a non-opaque layer, and a carrier layer is described. The label allows for printed information to be fixed to the outward-facing imprint layer. It is then removed from the carrier layer and applied to a curved surface so as to wrap completely around the object and overlap and adhere to itself over however many revolutions may be required. The trailing edge of this label can be selectively and non-destructively peeled away, and unwound to reveal the entire length of label and the printed content thereon, with its adhesive still being sufficient to allow the label to be rewound.

The liner sheet layer may include at least one surface feature provided along a back side of the liner sheet. In another embodiment, the facestock layer may include at least one surface feature provided along the front of the facestock layer. The surface features may create a zone of increased friction or increase tactile sensitivity along the various surfaces of the label sheet assembly to improve printer processing.
