A scanning method in a wireless local area network (WLAN) system is provided. The scanning method includes transmitting by a station a probe request frame via a channel, and receiving by the station a probe response frame from a target access point (AP) to respond to the probe request frame. The probe request frame includes at least one of information regarding a response reception time and preference information regarding the target AP.

A resource management system and method of a centralized base station in a mobile communication network are provided. The resource management system of the network communication separates a radio unit (RU) and a digital unit (DU) which are combined in the related art to thereby enable the RU and DU to be interlocked via an optical cable, installs each RU in a service area connected with terminals with respect to a plurality of base stations, and installs the integrated DUs in a single large system to thereby operate the DUs as an integrated base station, and therefore it is possible to effectively use DU resources, which are distributed and operated, through integrated management.

An individualization service providing system based on a user includes an individualization service client configured to be mounted in a user terminal to collect user's individualization information, generate a user profile by anonymizing the individual information according to a privacy policy, and transmit the generated user profile through a communication network, along with an individualization service request message. Further, the individualization service providing system includes an individualization service server configured to recommend individualization services corresponding to the user profile and provide the recommended individualization services to the individualization service client, at the time of receiving the individualization service request services.

Provided is a system for detecting an accident location, including: a navigation apparatus to extract identification information of a preinstalled apparatus, first distance information between the apparatus and at least one base station, and second distance information between the apparatus and a geostationary satellite, when an impact is applied to the apparatus; and an apparatus control center to compute location information of the navigation apparatus based on the identification information, the first distance information, and the second distance information, wherein the at least one base station receives the first distance information from the navigation apparatus and transmits the first distance information to the apparatus control center, and the geostationary satellite receives the second distance information from the navigation apparatus and transmits the second distance information to the apparatus control center.

The apparatus includes an input module to receive building information, floor information of the building, structural information of rooms and corridors for each floor of the building, and receive information on one or more the energy control sensors to be installed in the building. The apparatus for searching for index-structured data including a memory-based summary vector includes a storage unit configured to store a full index and data related to a key; and a key lookup engine configured to include not only a summary vector but also an index storing information related to the full index, search for data stored in the storage unit through the index, and return the searched result.

A method is provided for searching for a cell in a mobile station. The method includes receiving a downlink frame including a primary synchronization signal and a secondary synchronization signal. The secondary synchronization signal contains cell identity group information and the primary synchronization signal contains cell identity information within a cell identity group. The method also includes searching for a cell using the cell identity group information in the secondary synchronization signal and the cell identity information in the primary synchronization sign.
