    Abstract: There is provided a planar graphene oxide (GO)-based device comprising of multiple resistance state elements in response to an applied voltage and wherein the multiple resistance state elements mimic neural synapse behaviour. The device has multiple application potentials including but not limited to non-volatile electronic memory, sensors, computing for Artificial intelligence (AI) and security. Also disclosed is method of manufacturing a memristor microdevice comprising the steps of patterning metal layer and graphene oxide or reduced graphene oxide thin films on different substrates and producing reduced graphene oxide (rGO) thin film through reduction of the graphene oxide layer. Fabricating thin films of graphene oxide and reduced graphene oxide in the microdevice from an aqueous solution of graphene oxide, results in making the process simple, cost effective, and suitable for mass production of the microdevice.

    Abstract: A glucose sensor includes an insulating metal oxide layer and at least one pair of metallic electrodes arranged on the insulating metal oxide layer and separated by a gap containing the metal oxide layer. In operation, a probe including a voltage supply and current sensor can provide a voltage difference across the first and second metallic electrodes while a sample is present across the gap between the electrodes. A measured current between the first and second metallic electrodes when the voltage difference is provided can be correlated to a glucose level of the sample.

    Abstract: Embodiments include methods (and related systems, devices, and apparatuses) for determining a sorption separation factor for a binary gas mixture by applying a magnetic field to at least a portion of a sorbent (604) disposed in a chamber of a magnetic susceptibility device; directing a first gas stream including a first gas compound into the chamber at a first pressure and temperature to obtain a first magnetic susceptibility measurement; directing a second gas stream including a second gas compound into the chamber at a second pressure and temperature to obtain a second magnetic susceptibility measurement; directing a binary gas mixture including the first gas compound and the second gas compound into the chamber at a third pressure and temperature to obtain a third magnetic susceptibility measurement; and determining a sorption separation factor based on the first, the second, and the third magnetic susceptibility measurements.

    Abstract: Digital logic voltage regulators and related methods generate a regulated voltage via controlled switching of a power transistor. A digital logic voltage regulator includes a voltage level comparator, a power transistor, and a charge accumulator. The voltage level comparator generates a digital control signal that alternates between a first voltage level and a second voltage level in response to changes in relative voltage level between the regulated output voltage and the target voltage. The digital control signal causes the power transistor to switch from off to on in response to a reduction of the regulated output voltage relative to the target voltage and causes the power transistor to switch from on to off in response to an increase of the regulated output voltage relative to the target voltage. The charge accumulator decreases variation in the regulated output voltage that would occur without the charge accumulator.

    Abstract: Vortex Tubes and related methods of separating an airflow into a hot airflow and a cold airflow employ a secondary airflow inlet. A Vortex Tube includes a secondary airflow inlet that injects a swirling airflow aligned with a central region of the lumen of a circulating tube. The secondary airflow inlet includes a swirl generator that generates the vorticity of the swirling airflow. The injected swirling airflow increase the inner vortex strength thereby increasing the temperature difference between the hot airflow and the cold airflow.
