디스플레이 장치의 기능 수행 방법을 개시한다. 본 발명의 일 실시 예에 따른 디스플레이 장치의 기능 수행 방법은, 화면의 모서리 영역 상에 사용자 입력이 수신되면, 상기 화면에 메뉴를 디스플레이 하는 단계와, 상기 메뉴에서 아이템이 선택되면, 상기 선택된 아이템에 대응되는 기능을 수행하는 단계를 포함하고, 상기 화면의 모서리 영역은 적어도 두 개의 상이한 모서리 영역을 포함하고, 상기 사용자 입력이 수신되는 위치에 따라, 상기 화면에 디스플레이 되는 메뉴가 달라진다.
Abstract:
A method for providing a UI and a portable apparatus applying the same are provided. The method for providing the UI of the portable apparatus includes a step of determining whether motion of shaking the portable apparatus a predetermined number of times is input or not using a sensor included in the portable apparatus, and, if the motion of shaking the portable apparatus the predetermined number of times is input, providing haptic feedback according to a number of pieces of information displayed on a notice window of the portable apparatus. Accordingly, if a predetermined event occurs, haptic feedback corresponding to the predetermined event is provided, so that the user can identify the event without seeing a display. An UI providing method and a portable apparatus using the UI providing method are provided. The UI providing method of the portable apparatus determines whether the portable apparatus is shaken as the predetermined number using a sensor included in the portable apparatus. When the portable apparatus is shaken as the predetermined number, haptic feedback is provided according to the number of information displayed on the alarm window of the portable apparatus. A user can confirm the predetermined event without watching a display unit by providing the haptic feedback corresponding to the predetermined event when the predetermined event is occurred. PURPOSE: A mobile device and a method for generating a control signal for the same are provided to search a broadcast channel even a user does not know the channel number of a desired program. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit(110) stores an electronic program guide. An input unit(120) receives a user voice in order to change a channel. A key word extraction unit(130) extracts one or more keyword from the voice of the user. A search unit(135) searches program information including the extracted keyword from an EPG(Electronic Program Guide). A generation unit(150) creates a broadcast control signal corresponding to the searched broadcast information.

PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a communicating method for the same are provided to select a proper communication method when a communication mode is changed. CONSTITUTION: A communication unit(110) communicates with a mobile terminal of the other party through a network based on plural communication methods. A signal processing unit(120) processes a signal transmitted and received through the communication unit. A display unit(130) displays the processed signal. For the communication with the mobile terminal of the other party in the optimal communication method among the plural communication methods, a control unit(140) controls the communication unit.
