    Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a polyimide resin excellent in printability, light penetration and liquid crystal orientation by using novel functional diamine monomer capable of improving a property of polyimide resin. CONSTITUTION: The polyimide resin is produced by the steps of (i) reacting dioxytetrahydrofuran-3-methylcyclohexane-1,2-dicarboxylic acid dihydride, at least one of diamine selected from the diamine group represented by formula 1, and at least one of diamine selected the diamine group represented by formula 2 to form a polyamic acid, and (ii) amidating the polyamic acid to form a polyimide resin. In the formulae, X represents hydrogen atom, each of R and R' is hydrogen atom, -O2CR, -CO2R, -NRR', -CONRR', -NCOR, -OCO2R, -OR, or -R which are aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon of C1-C18, R1 represents hydrocarbon of C6-C18, and each of n and m is an integer of 1-16.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A polyimide resin is provided, which has improved printing property, heat-proof property, light permeability and liquid crystal orientation by introducing a functional diamine monomer, that contains a fluorine atom having excellent liner tilt angle and orientation, thereto instead of introducing a functional monomer containing a long alkyl group. And a method for preparing thereof is also provided. CONSTITUTION: The polyimide resin is prepared by polymerizing a mixture of a tetracarboxylic dianhydride, an aromatic diamine and a functional diamine monomer, which is represented by the formula (1), has fluorine substituents on a main chain and a side chain, and has a repeating unit represented by the formula (2). In the formula 1, R and R' are independently H, CH3 or CF3. And in the formula 2, A is a tetracarboxylic dianhydride monomer and B is more than one kind monomer selected from aromatic monomers and aliphatic diamine monomers.

The polyimide resin is prepared by polymerizing the tetracarboxylic di-anhydrides, the functional diamine monomer of formula 2 as the repeat unit and the aromatic diamine.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A liquid crystal alignment layer using a polyamic acid and a polyimide resin is provided to secure a high free tilt angle stably regardless of hardening temperature. CONSTITUTION: A nitrogen gas is slowly passed in a 50ml reactor attaching a stirrer, a temperature control device, a nitrogen injection device, a dropping funnel and a refrigerator. A solid shaped EG-3-DAB(0.62g, 2mmole) is dissolve in a reaction solvent DMAc 11.16g. ODPA(0.62g, 2mmole) is slowly added while a nitrogen gas is passed. The component in the reactor is reacted for seven hour at ten point centigrade, and a polyamic acid 10wt is obtained. In another method, A nitrogen gas is slowly passed in a 50ml reactor attaching a stirrer, a temperature control device, a nitrogen injection device, a dropping funnel and a refrigerator. A solid shaped EG-3-DAB(0.84g, 2mmole) is dissolve in a reaction solvent DMAc 13.14g. ODPA(0.62g, 2mmole) is slowly added while a nitrogen gas is passed. The component in the reactor is reacted for seven hour at ten point centigrade, and a polyamic acid 10wt is obtained.
