Abstract: PURPOSE: A quencher and a foam compound for injection are provided, to remove the light of the surface of foam effectively, to improve the dimension stability and to enhance the tear strength, the split tear strength and the adhesive strength of a quencher by employing the silica whose surface is modified from hydrophilic one to hydrophobic one. CONSTITUTION: The quencher comprises 100 parts by weight of silica; and 1-10 parts by weight of a silane-based coupling agent for modifying the silica. Preferably the silane-based coupling agent is selected from the group consisting of vinyl trichlorosilane, vinyl tri(2-methoxyethoxy)silane, vinyl triethoxysilane, vinyl trimethoxysilane, 3-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane, 2-(3,4-ethoxycyclohexyl)ethyltrimethoxysilane, 3-glycidyloxypropylmethyldiethoxysilane, N-2-(aminoethyl)-3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane, N-2-(aminoethyl)-3-aminopropylmethyldimethoxysilane, 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane, N-phenyl-3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane, 3-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane and 3-chloropropyltrimethoxysilane. The foam compound comprises 100 parts by weight of 100 parts by weight of a base; 1-10 parts by weight of the quencher; and 0.25-1.5 parts by weight of polyethylene glycol or diethylene glycol as a crosslinking stabilizer.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A wood meal-soft rubber composition is provided, to improve the environmental friendliness by using no plasticizer and to enhance the fluidity, the workability and the slipping resistance. CONSTITUTION: The wood meal-soft rubber composition comprises 100 parts by weight of thermoplastic and thermosetting rubber; 10-400 parts by weight of wood meal; 10-250 parts by weight of a process oil; 1-5 parts by weight of a metal oxide; 1-3 parts by weight of an internal releasing agent; 0-2 parts by weight of a crosslinking agent; and 3-5 parts by weight of an antiaging agent. Preferably the thermoplastic rubber is at least one selected from the group consisting of a styrene-butadiene-styrene-based rubber, a styrene-isoprene-styrene-based rubber, a styrene-ethylene propylene-based rubber and styrene-ethylene propylene-styrene-based rubber; the thermosetting rubber is at least one selected from the group consisting of a natural rubber, an isoprene rubber, a butadiene rubber, an ethylene-propylene rubber and an ethylene-propylene-diene rubber; and the wood meal has a particle size of 10-200 micrometers and a water content of 2-7 %.

Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a production process of outsole or midsole of shoes which passes through two continuous molding processes to produce a product so that it increases adhesion power with improving the quality of the product. CONSTITUTION: The production process of the outsole or the midsole of the shoes comprises the steps of: (i) producing a first preform smaller than the size of the final product by a first injection molding or compression molding; and (ii) projecting the preform into a press with heating to cross-link and foam the preform within the press to complete appearance of the outsole or the midsole of the shoes.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for preparing foam is provided to improve the mechanical strength comprising the split tear strength and the compression set of foam by using a metal-based cross-linking aid. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of adding a cross-linking agent and a foaming agent to a base which comprises an ethylene/α-olefin copolymer, an ethylene/propylene-α-olefin copolymer or their mixtures, a mixture of an ethylene/α-olefin copolymer, a styrene-based copolymer thermoplastic resin or ethylene vinyl acetate resin and rubber, or a mixture of an ethylene/propylene-α-olefin copolymer, a styrene-based copolymer thermoplastic resin or ethylene vinyl acetate resin and rubber; adding 0.1-5 parts by weight of a metal-based cross-linking aid based on 100 parts by weight of the base to the mixture; and cross-linking and foaming the mixture. Preferably the metal-based cross-linking aid is selected from the group consisting of zinc diacrylate, zinc dimethacrylate, zinc methacrylate, modified zinc methacrylate, modified zinc acrylate, modified zinc diacrylate and their mixtures.
