Abstract:
A method and a system for remotely controlling infrared ray-based home appliances in a home network system are provided to remotely control and collectively manage home appliances at home and outside by networking the home appliances through a device that performs ZigBee communication and generates an infrared signal. A converter(100) converts a command signal for controlling a function selected by a user into an infrared signal and transmits it to an infrared ray-based home appliance. A home server(400) receives and manages information on the converter(100), searches the converter(100) for controlling the function selected by the user when the control command is requested by the user, and transmits the command signal to the converter(100). A ZigBee coordinator(200) receives the command signal from the home server(400), wirelessly processes it, and transmits it to the selected converter(100).
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A network management method in an ATMARP(ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) Address Resolution Protocol) server - client network using an SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol) is provided to remotely manage various information on the ATMARP server - client by using the SNMP. CONSTITUTION: A system analyzes a protocol of a received message(101). If the received message is LIS(Logical IP(Internet Protocol Subnet)) information(103), the system retrieves an LIS table(104), and generates a corresponding SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol) message for transmitting(120,121). If the message is client or server information(107), the system retrieves a kernel of an ATMARP(ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) Address Resolution Protocol)(108), and generates a corresponding SNMP message for transmitting(120,121). If the message is virtual channel information(109), the system retrieves a virtual channel kernel(110), and generates a corresponding SNMP message for transmitting(120,121). If the message is perpetual virtual channel information(111), the system retrieves a perpetual virtual channel kernel(112), and generates a corresponding SNMP message for transmitting(120,121). If the message is interface information(114), the system retrieves the interface information(115), and generates a corresponding SNMP message for transmitting(120,121). If the message is ATM adaptation layer information(116), the system retrieves an ATM adaptation layer kernel(117), and generates a corresponding SNMP message for transmitting(120,121). If the message is interface management information(118), the system retrieves interface construction information(119), and generates a corresponding SNMP message for transmitting(120,121).
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A packet exchange structure using an ATM cell switching function and a method for processing thereof are provided to achieve a high-speed packet by making packet exchange executed by the ATM cell and to transfer traffics using a traffic control function by virtual connections. CONSTITUTION: An input cell processing part(100) is comprised of a cell header processing part(110), a routing table(130) and a header conversion table(140). The cell header processing part(110) makes an intermediate cell having information indicating an output port number and a packet buffer number and transfers it to a cell switch part(200). The routing table(130) stores information to determine an output port number and an output virtual connection number using a destination address value comprised in a packet header. The header conversion table(140) stores the output port number, the output virtual connection number and the packet buffer number. An output cell processing part(400) is composed of a queue management part(420), an index table(430), a cell scheduler(450), a packet buffer part(440) and an empty packet buffer number queue(410). The queue management part(420) stores an inputted intermediate cell in a packet buffer appointed by a cell header and, if all the cells forming a packet arrive, connects an associated packet buffer to a virtual connection queue assigned for the relevant packet. The index table(430) stores link information composing each virtual connection queue. The cell scheduler(450) determines a point of cell output time using the queue information of the index table(4300 and band width information assigned for each virtual connection and outputs a specific virtual connection cell. A plurality of packet buffers(440) store cells forming a packet. The empty packet buffer number queue(410) stores the numbers of empty packet buffers among the packet buffers.
