    Abstract: PURPOSE: A high efficiency luminescence device with a cover layer of a high index of refraction is provided to improve high luminous efficiency even if the same material is used as a luminescence layer, by increasing photoabsorption of the luminescence layer in a different method than the conventional method. CONSTITUTION: The luminescence layer(40) is interposed between two electrodes. The ratio of the light reflected to the inside of the luminescence device is increased to improve photoabsorption of the luminescence layer so that a photo generation rate in the luminescence layer is increased. A high refraction material having an index of refraction higher than that of the luminescence layer is stacked on the luminescence device to form the cover layer(70).
