Abstract:
PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for authenticating a terminal in a DCAS(Downloadable Conditional Access System) are provided to supply information through a channel which enables a security, integrity and message authentication. CONSTITUTION: A first receiving unit(410) receives terminal authentication information from a user terminal, and a judgment unit(420) judges based on a database whether or not the terminal authentication information is valid. If the terminal authentication information is valid, a first transmission unit(430) transmits pairing information on the terminal authentication and DCAS image information to the user terminal. The database stores the ID information on the terminal authentication of the user terminals from an authorized ID issuing agency.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for having variable error correction capability are provided to use stuff field of an MPEG-2 transport stream for error correction, thereby providing Reed-Solomon encoder of the various error correction capability without expansion of hardware. CONSTITUTION: A transmission error correction device(400) comprises a packet receiving unit(401), a field confirmation unit(402) and error correction processor(403). The packet receiving unit receives a packet of a TS(Transport Stream) from a broadcasting system. The field confirmation unit confirms stuff field from received packet. Based on the confirmed stuff field, the error correction processor corrects an error of broadcasting contents.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A system and a method for transmitting/receiving a non real time 3D broadcast are provided to transmit additional 3D data including a 3D sub image and information for the 3D sub image in non real time. CONSTITUTION: A non real time broadcast server(303) generates a non real time service information table including information required for receiving and restoring a 3D sub image and information for the receiving and restoring the 3D image by a transport stream. A media encoder(301) generates a 2D image by a transport stream of a fixed bit rate based on the bit rate of a 3D sub image transport stream. An ensemble multiplexer(305) multiplexes a 2D image transport stream, a 3D sub image transport stream, and a non real time service information table transport stream in a fixed sub channel.

PURPOSE: A cable modem upstream transmitter and a method for transmitting signal of the same are provided to support DOCSIS 3.0 standard for the cable modem by transmitting data to a hybrid fiber coax network. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of modulating modules(121 to 124) modulates data, which is transmitted to a plurality of upstream channels from a media access control, into the digital signal of each baseband. A plurality of converting modules(131 to 134) converts the digital signal of each baseband into the analog signal of each baseband. An RF module(140) converts the analog signal into the frequency signal a high frequency band. The RF module transmit each RF signal to a hybrid fiber coax network. Power amplifier modules amplifies the power of the analog signal.

PURPOSE: A method of controlling download load of a secure module client in a downloadable conditional access system are provided to analyze version information about security modules and version information about security module clients and determines download policy, thereby enhancing stability of DCAS network. CONSTITUTION: An AP(Authentication Proxy) server(330) provides version information about security module of a DCAS(Downloadable Conditional Access System) host and version information about security module client to DPS(DCAS Provisioning Server)(340). The DPS analyze version information of the security module and version information of a security module client. The PDS determines download policy related to downloading timings of security module clients for security modules. The DPS provides information related to the determined download policy to the AP server.

CONSTITUTION: A recognizing unit(540) recognizes news link information capable of containing the news information and electronic programming guide. A controller(550) extracts the electronic programming guide from the acknowledged news link information. The controller operates a wireless unit(520) and a modem. A memory stores the electronic programming guide. A display unit offers the extracted electronic programming guide to the form in which the user recognizes.

본 발명은 멀티그룹 멀티캐스팅 서비스를 위한 키 그래프 구성 방법 및 그를 이용한 키 관리 방법에 관한 것으로서, 사용자 그룹과 리소스 간의 접근 자격 관계를 이용하여 키 그래프를 구성하되, 복수의 리소스에 대해 동일한 접근 권한을 갖는 복수의 사용자 그룹들을 중간노드를 통하여 해당 리소스에 연결함으로써, 사용자 그룹과 리소스 간의 접근 자격 관계의 중복성을 최소화하고, 또한 이로 인하여 제한 수신 시스템에서의 통신 비용 및 저장 비용을 현저히 줄이고자 한다. 이를 위하여, 본 발명은, 제한 수신 시스템에서 멀티그룹 멀티캐스팅 서비스를 위한 키 그래프 구성 방법에 있어서, 서비스 대상이 되는 리소스에서 복수의 리소스를 선택하여 구성한 각각의 리소스 조합에 대하여, 사용자 그룹과 리소스 간의 접근 자격 관계를 이용해 동일 접근권한을 가지면서도 다른 리소스 조합과는 중복성이 없는 사용자 그룹의 집합('공통그룹 집합')을 검색하는 공통그룹 검색 단계; 및 상기 접근 자격 관계를 이용하여 사용자 그룹 키와 리소스 키를 연결하여 키 그래프를 구성하되, 상기 검색된 공통그룹 집합에 속하는 사용자 그룹들은 중간노드를 통하여 해당 리소스에 연결하는 키그래프 구성 단계를 포함한다 IPTV, 제한 수신, CAS, 키 그래프, 키 갱신 메시지, 접근 자격 관계, 중간 노드

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for estimating and equalizing a channel are provided to improve data receiving performance by performing the channel estimation and equalization with the size information of a received signal from a digital multimedia broadcasting system. CONSTITUTION: A first extraction module extracts the size information from a received signal(S310). A channel estimation module estimates a transmission channel with the filtering of the extracted size information(S320). An equalization module equalizes the extracted size information based on the estimated channel(S330). A second extraction module extracts an enhancement layer signal based on in the equalization signal of the equalization module. The second extraction module transmits the enhancement layer signal to the frequency deinterleaver(S340).

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for scheduling a bandwidth in a cable network are provided to increase the opportunity of a piggyback band request by arranging segment frames at a proper interval when allocating a band. CONSTITUTION: An operation unit(120) calculates a packet time interval value which maximizes a delayed time gain through received variable information, and a setup unit(130) sets up an algorithm for an Inter-channel band allocation of the network through the packet time interval value. A management unit(140) manages a CMTS(Cable Modem Termination System) according to the algorithm. IF a decision unit(160) judges the change of network, a control unit receives the variable information changed a receiving unit(110) again.
