Abstract: PURPOSE: A connecting structure for a steering shaft is provided to assemble upper and lower shafts of a steering system and a connector without a serration, to reduce the time of works by executing assembly easily and to prevent an error of the assembly. CONSTITUTION: A connector(40) is slid to a connecting portion of upper/lower shafts(10,20) and fixed with a bolt. A combining groove(12,22) is formed to an external peripheral surface of ends of the upper/lower shafts. A combining protrusion(42) is formed an inner peripheral surface of the connector corresponding to the combining groove. The connector has a main body and a cut portion(45). Ends of the lower/upper shafts are inserted to the main body in a tube-shape. The cut portion is formed to a side of the main body and has a proper inclined face to combine the upper/lower shafts.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An engine oil pan is provided to remarkably reduce radiated noise by forming an embossing part in the middle of the inside of a body of a vessel shape. CONSTITUTION: An engine oil pan forms a drain hole to a body(12) of a vessel shape. Abstract: PURPOSE: A bumper is provided to reduce the injury of passengers and the accidents by detecting an upset of a vehicle and absorbing the pressure of a roof. CONSTITUTION: A mount bracket(101) is installed in the inner surface of a roof panel(1) and formed a hollow. A housing(105) is inserted in the hollow. A gas generator(104) is installed in the housing and operated by a control signal from an ECU(Electronic Control Unit) to generate expansion pressure by exploding gas. A shock absorbing bar(103) is installed under the gas generator and moved downward when the gas is exploded. A damper(102) absorbs shock by installing on the shock absorbing bar. A cover(106) is combined with the lower part of the housing to prevent the separation of the shock absorbing bar. A bar(107) for connecting a roof trim(2) is fixed in the inner surface of the roof trim and combined with the lower part of the shock absorbing bar through a bolt(108). By absorbing shock energy, the injury of passengers and the accidents are reduced. Moreover, the shock absorbing efficiency is improved without securing the sufficient space.
