Abstract: Technology for an eNodeB to communicate with a user equipment (UE) using a self-contained time division duplex (TDD) subframe within a wireless communication network is disclosed. The eNodeB can process, for transmission to the UE, a DL self-contained time division duplex (TDD) subframe comprising an extended physical downlink shared channel (xPDSCH), an extended physical downlink control channel (xPDCCH), a downlink (DL) spacing signal, and a guard period, wherein the xPDSCH, the xPDCCH, the DL spacing signal, and the guard time are located within the DL self-contained TDD subframe prior to an extended physical uplink control channel (xPUCCH). The eNodeB can process, an uplink (UL) self-contained TDD subframe, received from the UE, having a UL spacing signal located after an extended physical uplink shared channel (xPUSCH).

Abstract: A base station may establish a cellular link with a user equipment (UE) according to a single frequency network scheme. The base station may then determine one or more control resource set (CORESET) transmission configuration indication (TCI) states and transmit signaling to configure the UE with the one or more CORESET TCI states. Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for CCA power signaling during COT sharing. A UE may report a maximum EIRP for COT sharing as a UE capability, e.g., for a frequency range between 52.6 and 71 gigahertz. The UE may receive a Pout value for CCA based on the UE capability and may report an actual EIRP used for CCA to acquire the COT. For configured grant COT sharing, the UE may perform a directional LBT with a specific EIRP and beam detection for a transmission burst and report a Pout value for COT sharing based on the directional LBT, e.g., via a configured grant uplink control indication. For dynamic grant COT sharing, the UE may detect that an EIRP exceeds a threshold and report a Pout value for COT sharing via a medium access control (MAC) control element. The threshold may be based on a closed loop power control setting.

Abstract: Systems and methods used by reduced sensing user equipment (UE) (relative to a full sensing UE) are disclosed herein. A UE performing partial sensing may use knowledge of resource reservation periods for a resource pool of one or more resources to reduce sensing as compared to the full sensing case. A UE performing resource re-evaluation and/or resource pre-emption may use one or more sensing windows that are relatively smaller than windows used in the full sensing case to reduce sensing. A UE performing prioritized resource selection may use a sensing window to determine availability of resources within a prioritized resource selection window with a high reliability, thereby reducing the need to spend power on other sensing methods (which may include full sensing methods). Combinations of these embodiments are also contemplated.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure enable a user equipment (UE) to performing inter-Radio Access Technology (RAT) measurements. The UE determines whether one or more inter-RAT measurement object (MO) is configured with or without a measurement gap (MG). When the one or more inter-RAT MO is on an NR serving component carrier (CC) with the MG, the UE performs an inter-RAT measurement on the NR serving CC based on whether the MG is fully overlapped or partially overlapped with synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) of a target MO of the one or more inter-RAT MO. Abstract: An apparatus of a Fifth Generation NodeB (gNB) to operate in a License Assisted Access (LAA) system configures a transmission initiation time interval contention window size (CWS) of N number of subframes between Category 4 Listen Before Talk (LBT) uplink (UL) transmissions by a user equipment (UE) operating in the LAA system, and a memory to store a value of N which can have a value 6 or greater or 10 or greater. An apparatus of a UE to operate in an LAA system decodes a configuration from the gNB of a transmission initiation time interval contention CWS of N number of subframes between Category 4 LBT UL transmissions in the LAA system. The CWS is increased to a next higher value when an UL grant or an autonomous UL (AUL) downlink feedback indicator (DFI) is not received before the expiration of a timer.
