    Abstract: An improved port protector (10) for removably sealing an opening located at an end of a tubular member. The port protector (10) comprises a cap portion (12) including a top (18) and side walls (17, 19) and defining an interior for receiving the end of the tubular member and removably sealing the opening of the tubular member. The cap portion (19) at least is constructed from a thermoplastic elastomer and the top (18) has a sufficiently thin cross-sectional thickness (a) to allow steam to pass through the top (18) into the opening of the tubular member during steam sterilization. Additionally, the port protector (10) includes means (14) extending from the cap portion (12) for allowing removal of the cap (12) from the tubular member. Additionnaly, the present invention provides an improved container assembly (30).

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a multiple chamber container that includes a container body sealed around a peripheral edge and having an outlet. The container also includes a first peel seal having a projecting portion and a second peel seal that isolates the outlet. The second peel seal may also include a projecting portion. The first and second peel seals may be configured to define a symmetrical chamber. The chamber may include an axis of symmetry extending between the first and second projecting portions. The chamber geometry of the container ensures a correct sequential opening of the first and second peel seals.

    Abstract: Multi-chambered containers having individually arranged chambers and methods of using same are provided. In a general embodiment, the present disclosure provides a multi-chambered container (10) including a first chamber (30), a second chamber (40), and a third chamber (50). A first peelable seal (32) separates the first and third chambers. The first peelable seal is independently openable by selective application of external pressure to the first chamber. A second peelable seal separates the second and third chambers. The second peelable seal (42) is independently openable by selective application of external pressure to the second chamber. The first chamber is separated from the second chamber by a permanent seal (52) defining a transverse opening (54).
