    Abstract: PURPOSE:To remove tacky adhesion simply and securely in a heat copying serial printer by a method wherein a thermal head is moved by the length of the tacky part between the recording paper and the copying paper from the final printing position. CONSTITUTION:The thermal head 1 prints compressing the copying tape 2, the recording paper 3 on a fixed platen 4. The copying tape is left from the recording paper 3 by means of tape guide pins 8a, 8b exclusive of the compressive zone of the thermal head. Counter CNT begins to count according to printing signals. After it counts intended clock pulses, flip flop FF is reset by the counted output, motor M is stopped and the thermal head can be let to overrun the final printing position A by a tacky length l to stop at B and then return. Accordingly, the tacky adhesion between the copying tape and the recording paper is removed securely and the recording paper is prevented from damage if the platen also is expanded to that extent.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the captioned system high in reliability, stable and excellent in the durability thereof by a method wherein the mechanisms of driving, reeling and tensioning of a copy transferring tape are constituted with one pulse motor and one belt while a carriage and the copy transferring tape are synchrnized by an electrical control. CONSTITUTION:The driving pulse of a control circuit PG is supplied to a pulse motor 16 by a printing command P in order to move a thermal head 4 while the same pulse is also supplied to a pulse motor 18 to rotate a driving roller 6 to reel the transferring tape 3 under synchronizing it with the movement of the carriage 14 through the tension belt 7. In case of the returning stroke of the carriage 14 into the starting direction of printing in accompaniment with the reverse rotation of the pulse motor 16, the driving pulse is not supplied to the pulse motor 18, the driving roller 6 is not rotated and the copy transferring tape is in the state of repose, therefore, the tape 3 is returned to a waiting position without being rubbed accompanied with the separation of the thermal head 4 from a printing paper 2.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the number of connecting terminals and the manufacturing cost, and to improve the stability in a detachable thermal head by a method wherein a serial-in parallel-out driver is provided on a printed board connected with a heating element. CONSTITUTION:The thermal head comprises a thermal head body 1, a printed board 12, a head sink 13 for keeping a low temperature, a recess for storing, protecting and cooling an IC6 and a connector 15. On the printed board, six input pattern to the IC6 and twenty-four output patterns to the thermal head body. The IC6 is a 24-bit serial-in parallel-out driver, each consisting of 24 resistors and 24 gates. Input serial data are maintained in resistors and electrify the heating element by strobe pulses according to the data. Since a distance between the patterns is short, stable recording is possible and the thermal head can be miniaturized.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify and miniaturize a printer by making a single solenoid mechanism engage with both the printing mechanism and the printing paper feed mechanism. CONSTITUTION:The armature 14b of a plunger 14 for the paper feed is constituted so as to engage with both the printing paper feed mechanism spring clutch 15 and the printing mechanism. In other words, when the power switch is turned on to energize the coil 14a of the plunger 14, the pawl 14c of the armature 14b is released from the engagement with the pawl 15b of the ratchet 15a of the spring clutch 15, and the ratchet 15a rotates a prescribed angle, causing rubber rollers 15e and 15f to feed paper 4. In addition, while paper is being fed, the pawl 14d of the armature 14b pushes one end 16b of a positioning lever 16 to rotate, so that a holder 12 holding an intermediate hammer group 9 is shifted in the direction of an arrow A to bring the printer into the printing start state.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To automatically strip a ribbon off a form by detecting the end of an ink ribbon and moving a carriage over a prearranged distance with regard to a thermal copying device using a thermal copying ink ribbon. CONSTITUTION:A head 4 is tightly pressed onto a platen 10 through the intermediary of an ink ribbon 11 and a printing form 6 under the rotary effect of a carriage 7 and then printing is performed. Following the shift of the carriage 7, the ribbon 11 is taken up by a take-up reel 15 as it is adhered to the form 6. When a pinch roller 24 has reached the printing position of the first character, it is sequentially stripped off the form. If printing proceeded further and the reader part 11a of the ribbon 11 is positioned between photocouplers 21, 22, the carriage 7 moves over a prearranged distance toward a printing direction. As a result, the ribbon 11 is further taken up and all the part which is adhered to the form 6 is peeled off.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the printer with reduced noises and stains by a method wherein an intermediate shaft is provided between a hollow printing-type wheel and a driving shaft piercing through the central part of the wheel and these three components are linked in specific relations, thus the wheel being enabled to press on paper and a platen. CONSTITUTION:The hollow intermediate shaft 15 is provided inside the hollow printing-type wheel 1 and between this and the driving shaft 2. In the driving shaft 2 is formed a hole 16 piercing through the center of the shaft 2, while in the intermediate shaft 15 is also formed a hole 17 crossing the center thereof, and a pin 18 is inserted through both holes 16 and 17 and fixed to the intermediate shaft 15, being made slidable to the driving shaft 2. And, in the peripheral walls of the intermediate shaft 15 and the printing-type wheel 1 are formed holes 19 and 20 respectively in the directions perpendicular to the pin 18, a pin 21 being inserted through these holes. Thus, when an electromagnet 8 is operated by a printing instruction and a driving lever 14 is tilted to press a ring 3 attached to the printing-type wheel 1, the wheel 1 moves from the driving shaft 2 and presses paper P and a platen 12, thus printing is performed.

When a printing pulse current flows to a coil S wound on a bobbin according to a printing signal, a magnetic force opposite in polarity to the magnet Mg is generated and, the attraction-maintaining force of the printing hammer H being broken by a magnetic flux phi, the hammer H advances toward a printing type K at high speed through the bobbin BO by the energy of a printing spring PS and gives an impacting pressure to the type K by the force of inertia, through the energy of the spring PS reduces on the way, thus the printing being made on printing paper P on a platen PP.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve working accuracy and to simplify platen mechanism of a printer by utilizing an eccentric monoblock roller as the platen of the printer wherein the printing is performed by pressing the printing paper against type wheels with the platen after selecting and stopping the type wheels containing the types. CONSTITUTION:A printer consists of a type wheel axis 1, plurality of type wheels 2 of respective positions fitted rotatably to the type wheel axis 1, an eccentric portion 51 of platen axis fitted with a printing rings 52 outside, etc. A platen axis 5 is driven through a gear G6 fixed to the type wheel axis 1 and others. The printing is performed by pressing the printing paper P against the types selected and stopped at a prescribed printing position by means of the eccentric action of the platen axis 51 with the aid of ring shaped printing rings 52 fitted rotatably to the ecdentric axis portion 51. In accordance with the successive rotation, the printing paper is separated from the types and fed as much as circular arc length of the cam.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify the type ring select mechanism of each figure, and to reduce the cost of parts and assembling cost, by energizing the type select and reset of a specified each plate spring corresponding to each figure type ring by oscillation- controlling a common holder of the each plate spring. CONSTITUTION:Plate springs 5 corresponding to each figure type ring 2 are maintained in parallel with a common holder 6 in comb-teeth-like shapes, and type select pawls 7 opposed to the type rings and armatures 8 facing to an electromagnetic mechanism 9 are held to the free end portions of the several plate spring 5. The type select and reset of each plate spring 5 are energized by oscillation-controlling the common holder 6 of each plate spring. Type select mechanisms are simply constituted, and the cost of parts and assembling cost can be reduced.
