    Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform an optimum data transfer process even if process resources change by calculating the resource throughput of a host computer and a data recording device and determining plural data process items at the time of the transfer. CONSTITUTION:A disk device 13 stores plural test data for calculating the resource throughput of the host computer 1 and data recorder 2 and a central arithmetic circuit 15 performs a data process on the basis of one of test data read out of the disk device and calculates 1st process result data. The test data is transferred to the data recorder 2 through a two-way communication channel and a central arithmetic circuit 22 calculates 2nd process result data on the basis of the data and an interface part 21 transfers the data to the host computer 1. The central arithmetic circuit 15 determines plural data process items at the time of the transfer from the host computer 1 to the data recorder 2 according to the 1st and 2nd process result data.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an ink jet recording device which enables execution of excellent recording even when any abnormality occurring to data of a head is detected or information of a head is not read. CONSTITUTION:When heat characteristic information read from a recording head is abnormal, the condition, e.g. a preheat pulse width, a suction pressure, and a wiping frequency, of recording control is set to a standard value despite of the read head characteristic information. Since an abnormal state of the head characteristic information is detected and the control condition of the head is set on the recording device body side to a standard value, a time in which a device is brought into an unusable state is reduced, a discharge state of a necessary lowermost limit can be ensured when the head characteristic information is abnormal, and an approximately excellent picture can be provided through prevention of lowering of concentration and the occurrence of unevenness in concentration owing to unevenness in a discharge amount.

Even if a distance from the paper discharge rollers 11a, 11b to the trailing end of the recording paper 2 is less than a line pitch when the recording paper 2 is released from the paper feed rollers 10a, 10b and clamped and fed only by the paper discharge rollers 11a, 11b, a last line which can be recorded on the recording paper 2 is recorded without misregistration by changing the pulse number of the sub-scanning motor 9 and controlling a nozzle of an ink jet recording head 1a.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the cleaning period of time shorter by detecting smudges of a conveyer means and obtaining positions and the number of smudges, and permitting the conveyer means to be moved in order, and also permitting the conveyer means to be cleaned from a maintenance opening. SOLUTION: A scanner 31S operates to ascertain whether smudges exist on a conveyer belt or not by making a conveyer belt travel around, and read data is temporarily stored in a memory. Next, a check is made as to whether smudges exist on the read data or not, and if it is determined as having smudges, a position to be cleaned on the conveyer belt is checked form the smudge data. Subsequently, the number of conveyer belt smudges is checked from the smudge data. When movement is designated by a servicing operation switch, the conveyer belt is rotation moved to shift to the cleaning position. As a result, smudges on the conveyer belt are moved to a servicing opening A, so that a service man or a user starts cleaning conveyer belt smudges from the servicing opening.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clean only new stain. SOLUTION: Stain on a conveying belt 31 is detected by a sensor 131 for detecting stain and a stain level detected on each detection point is stored in a RAM 803 by making each stain level detected on each detection point correspond to a detection point discrimination number. It is judged whether on not the stain level at the detection time stored in the RAM 803 has a difference with respect to stain level data after the completion of cleaning which is stored in the RAM 803 by each patron block. When there is not any difference between both data with respect to all of the blocks, the cleaning is not executed. When there is the difference in any one of blokes, a cleaning roller 38 is brought into contact with the conveying belt 31 by driving a cleaning solenoid 138, then the cleaning is executed. When the cleaning of the conveying belt 31 is completed, the stain of the conveying belt 31 is detected as the periodic detection and the arithmetic mean of the stain levels is obtained. The obtained arithmetic mean is stored in the RAM 803 by corresponding it to the block.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To easily change a print mode by detecting a count of printing dots per one scanning, and controlling a printing means to change a thinning rate for data to be printed based on the detection result. CONSTITUTION: A printer apparatus is provided with a printing head 2, a carriage motor 11, a paper feed motor 12, etc., operating with an HQ mode giving priority to the image quality and an HS mode giving priority to the printing speed. In the printer apparatus, a flag as an investigation result of a printing duty is checked in the HQ mode by a CPU 201. If the flag shows a smaller value than a threshold value, normal printing is decided. On the other hand, if the printing duty exceeds the threshold value, printing is conducted twice with by use of printing data thinned, for example, by 50%. Similarly, the printing duty is checked in the HS mode. If the printing duty is smaller than the threshold value, printing data thinned by 50% are recorded by one path printing. If the printing duty is larger than the threshold value, the level of the duty is checked and printing is conducted by the use of printing data thinned by 75%, 80% at levels 1, 2, respectively.
